I'll start getting stuff together, so it's gonna be like actual chocolates, or at least a chocolate themed disaster. [Peter jokes a little with a soft laugh.]
[Wait he should get that stupid glamor disguise thing ADI gave them, and probably the clothes Rue made for him.] Uuhhh I dunno? When is something playing? What are we seeing, I mean.
That is- a good question. [Peter answers back, patting his pockets before finding his cellphone. He produces it easily enough, starting to look up local movies.]
It's not quite Jupiter Jim or Star Wars but... there is a sci-fi movie playing later this afternoon. The theater is doing some weird old sci-fi movie marathon of some kind, the one today is called- Time Bandits? [Peter squints a little down at the screen.] I think its meant to be funny-? The poster just looks weird.
That's kind of the fun part of sci-fi movies, they're either super compelling or absolutely weird enough you can make fun of it. [It feels like safe date material for both of them, opposed to a horror movie which or anything along those lines.
He glances back down at his phone to check the show times.] The next showing we can probably make is like at 2:00, does that work?
Yeah, yeah, it's- [He is turning a little pink now.] It's gonna be really great.
[He nods a little too hard probably, making his curls bounce in the gesture.] Yeah, I'll- see you there, then we'll go out. On our date.
[He hesitates, obviously reluctant to go. Peter manages to get himself moving. He steps back from Leo's dorm apartment door, forcing himself to actually walk.]
I better go, I mean, I gotta- get ready, I'll see you!
[Peter manages to make it back to his own apartment without falling over himself, he calls out vaguely to his roommate that he'll be going out later before ducking into his room.
Peter is maybe tearing apart his room for something to wear. ITS FINE.
By the time Leo likely shows up, Peter is dressed nice-er. He finds the one pair of corduroy pants he owns to put on, a button-up shirt under a sweater, and sneakers that are less tattered. It is more dressed up than a pun t-shirt paired with jeans and flannel.
Peter tried making his hear presentable, but the curls are on the loose and he can't quite get them in place. He makes sure he has his wallet and phone on him as he ducks out into the open living area of the dorm to pace.]
[Leo still narrowly avoiding his own roommates, maybe he should meet them at some point -
but he finally makes it over to Peter's room again, in a custom made jacket and hoodie with some fashion-athletic pants and sneakers that work for him. He... debated. Disguise or not. And ultimately decided he'll put it on if his natural look becomes a problem.
[There is only really a moment between the knocks and the door opening. Peter stops a little at the sight of Leo. He is genuinely struck by how good Leo looks.
Some part of Peter is questioning the logistics, but...
He likes Leo. The species thing is not something he's going to let himself get hung up on. He likes Leo, he wants to try and see if they click together.
His lips curl into a smile as he regains his mental footing.]
You look really nice. I'm guessing Rue made at least some of those-?
They're really fashionable, it doesn't surprise me.
[A flustered kind of laugh escapes Peter at Leo's words.] I mean, it's a date, so- [He pats his pockets in passing to be sure he has his wallet and keys before he steps out of the apartment.
He meets Leo readily, taking the turtle's hand in his own.]
[Whatever cool Leo has is melting a little at that hand offer. GOSH. For as much as he doesn't really do the whole 'normal teen experiences' his brothers are into, Leo is kind of excited fluttery at the idea of normal teen date. As normal as it can get with him.
He takes the hand, starting to walk with him once everything's locked up.]
