[The reassurance eases Peter considerably. Being held is comforting. He and Leo are close, but- there is something to having someone hold you when you're upset that Peter hasn't had in a while.]

[Peter breathes out a quiet thanks, tucking his face against Leo's plastron. He likes the feeling of the turtle's plates against his skin, and he can't really quantify why.

[Leo keeps up the gentle circles he's making against Peter's back with his fingertips. He's always amazed at how soft humans are, every time he's hugged April it catches him off guard sometimes.
This isn't so different but not quite the same either. Softer somehow.]
I got nowhere to be, cleared my two am schedule when you messaged me.
[The kiss to his chin has Leo freeze for just a breath before looking down at him. For now, he'll press his forehead to Peter's happy to just be close.]
[Peter loosens up further at their foreheads being pressed together. He wants to kiss Leo again, and is trying to not be too- pushy about affection.]
I think we're always gonna fail 'go to bed at normal hours' challenge, but at least we're failing it together. [He tries for a joke, its absolutely weak, but he is trying.]
[Peter is briefly surprised by the kiss, but brightens visibly at the kiss. Even with how tired he seems, he still is happy for the affection. It eases the uncomfortable grief still weighing on him.
Unsurprisingly, Peter turns a little pink in the cheeks. Peter shifts a little to try and chase that feeling by placing another kiss against Leo's lips.]
[Peter reaches out a careful hand to lay it against Leo's cheek, drawing his thumb against the other teenager's cheek as they kiss. It's still tentative and gentle at this point.
The two are experimenting with kissing in general. Different shaped faces and lips means they're working out the logistics.]
[It's a little lopsided and a lot awkward but not in the worst way? He's more just trying to be here and give Peter something to focus on instead of the horrible shit waiting for him if he leaves here.
No, Leo is more determined now than ever to get Peter to his and Donnie's New York. Side effects or logistics be damned. He does break away after a minute to wrap both arms around Peter and pull him in close.]
[They will figure out the kissing part soon enough. Peter isn't in a rush, not when they have time to figure this out together.
Peter releases a soft breath, just leaning heavily into Leo, drawing comfort from the hold. Hell, drawing comfort form Leo's presence as a whole. The fact Leo wants him to come back with him is a relief. A comfort. Something so big and important Peter isn't sure how to quantify.]
