[The comic titles are all colorful, well read, with pictures of Leo on the front in various poses and a secondary character depending on the title.
Such titles as PrimeTime and Red Reign defeat the GhostBear!, and Leonardo stars in Portal Jacked! with so many others of similar make.
The Casey Jr figure is one of the newer looking figures. But the face sculpt is tired, a little worn, and desperately hopeful looking back up at Hunter.]
[ Raph feels a kind of way about these titles and covers while he's scoping them and then reshelving them. The very warm and fuzzy exasperatedly fond way that nature specifically evolved for feeling about little brothers. ]
Yeah? [ Mikey would probably be way better at picking apart all the metaphorical psychological stuff about it. He loves to do that. ] The comics are all pretty Jupiter Jim action hero vibes, so I figured the action figures were just, uh. Frequent adventure fliers. But I guess everything means something here.
[ Very carefully picking up tiny Splinter. Wow. An even smaller Pops that he is slightly terrified he'll crush and give Leo amnesia or something. ]
That Tiny Splinter is so soft. It is covered in the softest felt you have ever put your hands on. But his face is equal parts disappointed and annoyed, glowering up from those plastic painted eyes.]
[ Who is he if he would not do for his toy dad what he would do for his teddy bears. ]
Oh, uh. That's our Pops. Master Splinter. I think he got made when he was havin' a rough day, though?
[ Or that's how Leo sees their dad, or how he thinks Pops looks at him, or-- he doesn't look at Leo that way every time he's looking at him, does he? Pops has a real hit or miss track record with this sometimes, but surely they would've noticed.
Raph's not sure he likes this representations thing. ]
[Raph's figure is large - overly so, taking up the entire palm of Raph's hand holding him. It's spiky and sharp, and his expression a mix of disappointment and resentment. But also exhaustion in the bags under the eyes. The big guy has been carrying so much, and dealing with his brothers' bullshit for so long.]
[ Raph inadvertently mirrors tiny Raph's expression, looking down at it. It's about what he was braced for, and the tiredness is whatever, but still.
It's not like he can say it's not a fair perspective from Leo's end. Especially with this weird time travel stuff.
He sets the figure back down. He doesn't pick up another one.
This isn't stuff he can help rectify from here. Not even if he were to simply eat tiny Raph. This is talk it out stuff. Hard work stuff. Which they're gonna have tons of time for once they save Leo.
So he kinda just feels guilty for digging around in his kid brother's brain, ultimately. ]
It's definitely not everything. People who say it is are all creeps.
[For Hunter - The less defined figures are varied in size, shape. They haven't even finished being sculpted yet, looking like vague blobs of plastic and color. One longer one that looks like it has an animal face and many legs half-finished, a few smaller lithe figures. A few taller human shaped figures. One humanoid with what look like two large bulging lumps on the back.
The most notable thing about them is each has a single individual line of color, like someone marking an inventory. Purple, blue, only one of brown (gray?), one green.
But Tiny Raph does just keep staring annoyedly, tiredly forward.]
[ Raphael "champion of physically attempting to fight myself" Hamato fully keeps staring down at tiny Raph while they are talking. Who does Perceived Raph even think he is... this jerk of his own contribution... can't even account for tiny Leo's whereabouts, he bets.
Yeah. Draxum's startin' to turn it around, but he did kinda specifically make us 'cause he wanted to destroy humanity back in the day. So, mixed bag. [ It's weird okay he doesn't know. ] You said your uncle used to be human, right?
[Tiny Raph stares right back. It's not changing, big guy.
The brownish gray one has a little more definition to its sculpt, a little extra time spent on it more than the others so far. There's the idea of a face there, a bit of hair hanging down the front. And a small chunk of the figure material on its shoulder, like something perched there but still not fully shaped yet.]
Hunter hugs the little figure for a moment, just happy to be included. ]
Yeah. He was. But he was a witch hunter, along with his brother. When he got to the demon realm, he decided to exterminate all the witches living there.
He’s been working on that for the last four hundred years.
[ Okay, that's worth a quick breakaway from the Disappointed Raph-off. ]
I know you know this already, but that's straight-up evil. That's one of the most bad guy things I've ever heard. Four hundred years on extermination instead of makin' some friends or helpin' people!
[ How does anybody used to operating on the human timeframe go that long without budging? By being pure evil. Case closed. ]
I - I know that now. Yeah. But it took me a long time to figure it out. I was his Golden Guard my entire life until Luz finally showed me the truth.
[ A deep breath. ]
I think his brother realized too. That Belos was wrong. So Belos killed him. Tried to copy him over and over again, but killed every copy for “betraying” him eventually.
That ain't on you. He was supposed to take care of you and he didn't. He used you. That's all him.
[ Raph has opinions on everything and perhaps none stronger than his responsibility-based opinions.
But.
Ah.
Two things they needed to talk about, one stone, he guesses. Cool to have that extra info where Belos killed his brother himself first. Not a huge surprise, all things considered. ]
He-- told me about that last part. Kinda. I thought I was checkin' in with Leo after that story game thing, and he was pretty hung up on one of your pictures? I was gonna circle back with you about it, but, uh. Then the punishment stuff rolled in.
[ And it's like, once you lose the eye you already had trauma about, freaking out about that's gonna be your whole day. ]
[ Yeah that’s reasonable to be honest. Hunter was distracted himself by that same darn Polaroid.
He hunches over a little and shivers. Nods slowly. ]
Of course he would. He’s - obsessed. He hates that I’m a failed version of what he wanted, and he hates ANY example of families that are actually healthy. Especially brothers.
[ He looks away, just a bit too tender for this last bit. He feels fully adopted by Donnie, but still a little intimidated by Raph. ]
Especially especially brothers that have adopted me and replaced him. He’s going to throw everything he has at all three of you to try to destroy you.
Re: Start
These are really cool looking.
Re: Start
Not always a bad thing. Hunter can have a minute for fun. ]
Yeah, there's even some villains on there. [ Hm. ] Not much of a set without a lil Leo, though.
[ Do people not get little thems in their brain spaces? Kinda sad.
Raph's gonna scope those comic titles, personally. ]

Re: Start
There's no felt soft enough to keep holding Tiny Splinter if it means seeing his disappointed and annoyed face, so he's gonna just
Set that back down and turn it to face away from everyone. Yes even the other action figures.
Tiny Pops clearly needs some space to himself to process whatever's going on with him. ]
Re: Start
Hunter watches that, rubbing a bit at the back of his neck? Glancing at the figure before Raph turns it away. ]
Who's that?

Re: Start
… Are you going to eventually grow fur too?
Re: Start
[ oh god the fact that they probably won't know until they know. ]
He didn't become a rat mutant until after we all got made, so I don't think there's fur, like. In the turtle mix.
Re: Start
Re: Start
??????? ]
Well I think I'm just gonna not grow any if it turns out we can do that. As a personal choice. [ Y'know. Opt Out Of Hair.
Raph bites the bullet and picks up Smol Raph, because he kinda has a feeling he knows what he's gonna find. ]
