Oooh, truly homemade, yessssssssssss.

[He loves those kisses. Loves the affection, and he trails after Peter for a little puppy. He's done it before so Leo can at least pick up the work without having to be told.]

Where d'you want me?

[heyunderoos]

If I had the time, I would've made tortillas, but- maybe next time. [He's trying to stay focused and not distracted by Boyfriend. He pops open the breadbox on the counter top, pulling out the bag of tortillas. He sets those aside to pop open the fridge and dig out the chicken he made earlier.] Can you grab the pan for me-? It's in the usual place.

Got it.

[It's easily enough to grab, and go through the motions of getting things prepped, food cooking. Some goofing, teasing with a little laughter. Only the best food safety here in this apartment, and the occasional kiss on the cheek as Leo passes him by.

But not too long, they've got the makings for tacos ready and set.]

Not bad.

[The two are still new to each other in a lot of ways, but they've figured out the rhythm of cooking together by now. It's comforting.

Peter is smiling at Leo, rolling his sleeves towards his elbows. So much for looking as nice as he wanted.]

Now, hopefully the tacos live up to expectations. I was trying out something new with the chicken at least.

Food's food, I'm not gonna knock that.

[But rolling the sleeves up, Leo does lean in to kiss him properly for a second.]

[Peter huffs a little at the easy assurance, not about to turn down a kiss.

He draws back to actually dig into their tacos. He dishes out a few for Leo onto a plate, then a few for himself. Both of them are big eaters, even if Peter's metabolism has slowed down to some degree. He passes a plate over to his boyfriend.] Here.

[Thankfully Leo remains active, so still has the metabolism to justify how much he eats. He takes the plate happily, moving to wherever they're wanting to eat. Living room? Dining room? Who cares, they're eating.]

Thanks, babe. Did I tell you recently you're the best?

[heyunderoos]

[Peter leads them in the direction of the living room, intent on keeping this nice but casual. The couch is make out central sometimes.]

Maybe, but- it's still good to hear. [He is definitely turning a little pink as he moves to settle down on the couch.] Thank you for coming over, I just thought it'd be nice if you stayed over.

[Gotta figure out how to broach that.]

Haven't met my new roommate and my other two that were there when I got there are gone, no reason to stick there if you want me over here for a night.

[He sounds like he means it too, as casually as he says it. He watches Peter a second before going to take a bite of his taco.]

It's pretty lonely in here now. [He is trying to figure out how to just broach what he's thinking about.

He starts in on his own taco. Food is a good space filler.]

I also thought, we could, you know, go to next base? [Peter thinks that's the accurate slang.]

[Leo shoots Peter a sideglance at that. Both the lonely comment and the suggestion. It isn't as if he has anywhere to be, and Donnie hasn't decided when they're going to Dogtown yet. What's a night to fool around and experiment?

Though it does feel weird to talk and plan that kind of thing out while they're eating. But maybe this is a human thing that they just don't show in pop culture. Not like Leo would know any better.]

You sure?

[Honestly, Peter has no idea how people plan to actually have sex, he thought over dinner was a good enough way to get to that point. He's glad Leo seems interested enough.]

Yeah, I'm sure. I really do like you, and I'd like to do more.

Sorry if it is- weird, I mean? I really don't know what I'm doing. [Peter can't even slightly pretend he's confident about this.]

[He watches Peter for now, just holding his taco lower to his plate. He wants to give Peter his attention, make sure he knows Leo isn't just... brushing him off or not taking it seriously. He saw how that worked out in other parts of his life before this; this is just as important.]

Hey, me neither. So we'll come u with our own way of doing this.

[heyunderoos]

[The reassurance does a fair job of loosening Peter back up. The nervous uncertainty easing as he smiles back at Leo. The turtle can likely see the way Peter's posture loosens again, shoulders relaxing along with that smile.]

Yeah, we're gonna find our own way of handling things. Cause this is- a new part we're figuring out.

It is, yeah.

And I mean, even if we both knew how stuff worked, it's first time for. Y'know. Us.

[Both as individuals and also... human turtle relations.] We're paving the way, so let's just have fun.

[heyunderoos]

Right, we're very- different. So we can just enjoy it. [Its a safe way to brush on the whole mutant turtle and weird mutante human thing. He picks back up on eating his taco. He is very hungry, and dinner before hand still feels like a good idea.]

I also kind of- went ahead and bought stuff we probably needed. [Surprise, Leo, he's a schemer.]

[He's midchew when Peter says that. One brow ridge arches up curiously and he finishes the bite.]

Oooh, you're a schemer, huh. Thinking ahead. Usually that's my thing, but go you.

[heyunderoos]

[He huffs a little at that.] Well, I wanted- to seduce you, so-

[The word seduce just feels too serious, but he's already committed. He is just going to stuff more food in his mouth stop himself from stumbling over his thoughts.]

[Alternatively, Leo looks delighted, food forgotten.]

Omigosh You wanted to seduce me? Wait wait wait - [Before Peter thinks he's making fun of him-] I can absolutely play into that if you want, I can play the blushing partner. Or the cool quiet hero. Whichever.

[heyunderoos]

I- oh, um- [Now he's bright red. Why is he into this? Who knows. Mostly, he nearly drops his plate in the process.]

Can we switch between that-? I mean, I'd like to uh ride you and hold you- I mean- [He cannot take that back either, and is just openly unsure if he's making this weird.]

[neonleon]

[For all the confidence Leo puts on, his face goes a remarkably dark shade himself hearing that. He thought maybe Peter would go along with the joking and take the edge off the situation a little but that's something else entirely and-

He's not not into it.]

Um. I-

Yeah. Yeah, whatever you wanna try.

[heyunderoos]

Yeah, yeah- [He just back-pedals, absolutely feeling ridiculous. The look on Leo's face and the different shade he goes makes Peter verbally shift gears.]

We'll- figure it out. Uh, later.

[neonleon]

[Peter's backpedaling, he fucked this up.

He sets the last of his food back onto his plate and reaches for Peter's hand.]

Hey. It's- look. It's just new, and. I'm not really sure what to do with... sssssome of this, uh. Not you, I mean. I can figure that out, just. Turtle stuff, y'know? I'll have to show you some of it and I dunno how you'll go with it or react to it.

'S not a bad thing though. Okay?

[heyunderoos]

[Peter gently sets his own plate aside, just holding onto Leo's hand.]

Okay. [He nods a little, trying to gather his thoughts. He's more measured when he speaks. The backpedaling having dropped in favor of something more to the point.] It's just a lot of- figuring out how we fit together, I think. I haven't seen everything yet, so, I can guess I'm going to be surprised.

[Being over eager is Lame and Cringy, and he doesn't want to like be weird.] I've just been thinking about it, probably too much, and I realized I was probably too- forward?

[neonleon]

[He squeezes Peter's hand, turning to face him properly.]

I dunno if you noticed, but I like forward. I thrive on it. Forward's great, no questions of anyone's intentions, right?

[He squeezes his hand again, leaning toward him a little.]
