[Peter just brings their foreheads together again, hand settling loosely against the back of Leo's shell. Unaware of how that likely feels. The fact they're finally doing this, going on a date, dancing, its a lot of things Peter wanted rolled up into one really good moment.
He means to go with something cocky and full of bravado, but his voice ends up quiet and hopeful.] I really want this.
[He didn't expect soft. He expected some joking banter like usual but - the soft is ...not unwanted. That anyone genuinely would want him is something he's given some thought to and then set aside given his family's whole... situation. But this, with Peter?
He looks down to take Peter's hands in his own between them.]
[Leo watches him, glancing down at their hands when he twines their fingers. But when Peter leans in, Leo just wraps his free arm around him to tug him close. This is... Nice. It's nice, and it's new, and for once he doesn't want to fuck this up.
But with the brush, he breathes in for a moment. Then follows after it with another.]
[Peter presses another kiss against Leo's beak, only moving out of his hold to sink onto the rooftop to sit down. He opens his arms a little hopefully.]
Peter Pile. Cute. He doesn't hesitate for a second to sink down with him, sitting close enough his knee knocks Peter's a little before he leans into those open arms.]
[The knock of knees surprises Peter briefly. Surprise melts into contentment as Leo settles down into his open arms. Peter is genuinely happy to just cuddle into Leo right now.
[A habit of giving Donnie a warning before he drapes across his brother, just instinctive now. But arms around him and face buried against his shoulder, Leo's... content like this. He's still letting the music play a few feet away, and this is perfect.]
[His face gets so warm thinking about that. As level headed as he can be when the chips are down, some part of him is still that giddy teenager happy for all of this. buries his face in Peter's hair with a grin.]
Sorry- was that weird? [Peter questions a little nervously back. Leo burying his face into his hair is a sign he's fine, right? Peter really hopes so. He's just turning a little redder.] I just- like how it sounds and I kept thinking about it a lot, because I like you a lot, and I was like 'I'd like if he was my boyfriend, but he's kind of really cool, and I'm not, and how do I even ask?
[Peter releases a breath, just leaning heavily into Leo. At this rate, they're going to be tangled together.]
I'm not- cool. I'm just Peter. [He can't wrap the idea of him being cool around in his mind.] You're cool. By a lot. Not even just the ninja stuff. You're just... [He struggles to get the words together.] You're Leo.
