[That makes Peter pause, the realization he had no idea where he even left his phone. He draws the ice pack off of his bruised eye to look around the disaster of his bedroom.]
If it helps, I kinda dunno where my phone is right now. [He's openly a little embarrassed at that.] Mr. Stark's helper took it off me for a while.
[He thought he understood Peter's not-school-life, that he knew the ins and outs of how it worked. Leonardo is realizing he doesn't, not really. Not like he thought. He can't pinpoint why it bothers him. Why should Leo feel like he has any claim or anything to Peter's time? he has as much right to it as his brothers, as April, as Ned.
Something is starting to clarify in his thoughts, something he's a little afraid of actually realizing.]
Do you need another one? Donnie could probably grab one of our spares really quick.
I- got it back, so it should be good! I only dropped it like twice. [He's realizing he should backpedal a little. Decidedly unaware of Leo's current conflicted feelings.]
Okay, uh, Mr. Stark kind of realized I'm Spider-Man. [That feels like a good way to open this.] He came to the apartment and asked me to help him with something.
I think so. [Peter draws the ice pack away again to give his face a break from the cold.] He gave me a suit in exchange. He said if I needed extra help I could reach out to his helper, Happy.
After... uh, saying he'd tell May if I didn't, but- I helped him so it's fine! [Actually having someone he's comfortable with to talk to about this means he's mildly forced to think about it.]
He said he wouldn't do it now- since I helped him though? [That doesn't make it any better.] I mean, I went with him to Germany and we fought Captain America.
[The thought makes Peter frown a little, his loyalties divided in a way. He actually knows the turtles, wherein he only knows of Mr. Stark. Someone he idolizes.
He sighs, sinking back a little.] He did ask me- a lot of questions about if I worked alone. I said yes, since, I dunno, it felt weird and wrong to bring you guys up to him.
Then moves to carefully settle on the bed next to him, legs crossed. He's not- Leo isn't mad, not really. He just feels a little protective. That's normal to feel for your best friend, right? That you want him to not be taken advantage of, you want him safe. That Leo would want to fight alongside him the rest of their lives and oh god he knows what the feeling is and why he was so upset that Peter never answered.
He closes his hands into fists against his legs just watching Peter for now instead while he has this absolutely horrific (great?) realization.]
I- I know um. Me and the guys appreciate that. A lot.
I think Mr. Stark is cool, but- he isn't obligated to get everything about my life from like two conversations. [He says seriously enough, before looking at Leo.] You guys are my friends. I want to make sure you're safe.
[Peter unaware of Leo's realization just leans into him a little.]
He gets it now, that sensation a lot of movies have where the hero has a quiet moment with the girl and the cameras and music all stop and the whole world just sort of pauses.
Because that's how it feels right now. Except his pulse won't stop racing suddenly, he hates this actually.
He ccccarefully drapes one arm over Peter's shoulders. Super casual. Like always.]
[Peter just smiles at him a little thinly. Apologetic for his excitement earlier.] I like... filmed a lot of the trip, I was excited to show you guys, but now I feel kinda dumb.
You know we definitely wanna see it. [He bunts his head against Peter's shoulder gently.] If you're having fun in it, we wanna see it. we've never seen anything outside Manhattan.
[Peter just smiles at Leo. The close proximity is nice. He can't place why just yet.]
Like, they're really cool with superheroes. I found a rooftop party... [He explains his very odd stint in Berlin escaping out of the hotel and finding a party.
And his apparent accidental save of a Chancellor.]
[He listens to that. Leo's pretty sure he could get Peter to ramble about other stuff from the trip just to listen to him be excited about things. And the smile just gets Leo smiling back, bright and warm and leaning in more to him.]
Maaannnn that's all super cool. Yeah, you have to tell everyone else about it.
Yeah! I have it filmed so- I can show everyone. [He says brightly, just shifting enough to wrap an arm around Leo a little. His fingertips brush across the turtle's shell in passing.] I filmed some of the fight too, it isn't a lot though.
[As the fingertips brush, Leo has to fight off the instinctive full body shiver (but he's not entirely successful).
Oooh this is going to go badly, he's sure. Not that he has any doubt in his game and who he can pull, but it's different when it's someone he wants to be serious with, someone he actually cares about.]

[He's only ever heard about Stark from Donnie any time the billionaire does something new, some new research.
He opts to sit on the floor by Peter's bed just... sorting through his thoughts.]

And why would you fight- ugh. I don't wanna know. [he does, but he's upset.]

[He's getting his phone out and texting the brothers, they gotta know.]

Maybe I should have Donnie look at the suit he gave me?

[He knows showing them that part means he'll get teased at least a bit, but he's comfortable with Leo. Comfortable enough to be that vulnerable.
He's not sure why honestly.] Germany is really weird though.

Weird how? I wanna hear it.
[it's fine... coming back down from the initial upset and possibly hurting Peter's feelings is fine like this right?
He shifts his weight to lean back against Peter a little.]
