That weird temple wasn't good, but it wasn't the worst. Not by far now that he's back in this dimension. He floats a bit aimlessly, body broken, shell cracked and falling apart, some bones and insides shattered. His head aches in a way that he can't think.

All he can really do is hope Prime doesn't find him immediately right now. The light off his ring catches his eye and he looks at it, not fully registering that it's lit up.

A promise.]

[ he leans in for a light kiss. ]

[He smiles a little, leaning in for that kiss just lingering there.]

Never gonna stop thanking you for saving me.

I mean, I'll take thanks. But I'm just glad you're safe.

[neonleon]

Yeah, thanks to you. [He presses his forehead to Hunter's for a breath. His arm still hurts under the bandages, and he's come to terms with the reality that's just how it'll probably be from now on. Just something he lives with.]

So whatever you want? Just ask. You got it.

[pyrighteous]

[ Hunter leans gently, then, breathing him in. ]

I already have everything I want.

[ He reaches out to touch the ring on Leo's finger. ]

[It's such a soft touch, and Leo stills at it. He turns his hand to take Hunter's into his own to hold.]

Even if you could want more, huh?

[pyrighteous]

[ Hunter folds his fingers around Leo's. ]

What more could I want?

[neonleon]

Dunno. People grow and change, you may think of something later that you want too.

Just don't want you to cut yourself off thinking this is it, y'know?

[pyrighteous]

I'm not, Leo. I mean - maybe we get a house eventually, I guess. But that's kind of secondary.

[ A pause. ]

Or uh - are you talking about kids??

[neonleon]

What?

[Something he had not considered: this.]

I was thinking like - a new palisman or yeah a house or something.

[pyrighteous]

Oh right! That's much more reasonable! Kids are a lot more responsibility and I don't know how I feel about that!!

[neonleon]

[Leo knows he has a lot of shit to work out before he could ever consider something like that - but also: they're still kids themselves. He isn't even sure when they should actually follow through on the marriage bit.]

Yeah, so! Maybe just little things. Until we're uh. Better place for that.

[pyrighteous]

[ Give them at LEAST a couple years, bare minimum on the first part. Then. Maybe a few years after that.

Anyway, he sort of dissolves into weak laughter after a moment. ]

[Okay that laugh is everything to him though. He noses at Hunter's cheek some.]

Easy to do, but... It's cute. You thinkin' about the future like that.

[ he leans into that. ]

You know? It really is. It is nice being able to do that.

[Leo had never really been sure what his own future held. Even before the Krang, he didn't know. Maybe find some cute rabbit yokai or someone down in Hidden City? Maybe a spider mutant crime fighting lad topside?

Didn't matter. He found Hunter.]

So let's keep doing that even about the small things, huh?

[ Hunter is at LEAST as good as a spider mutant crime fighting lad, probably. ]

Okay, okay. I can do that. About things much smaller than houses and kids.

[neonleon]

Cool. We'll figure it out later down the line, and worry about me learning flyer derby in a couple hours, huh?

[pyrighteous]

Worry about sleeping first.

[neonleon]

Riiight, right. Sleep. A very normal thing people do.

[And he is definitely going to! Probably. He squeezes Hunter's hand and settles in to at least close his eyes for a few hours. Maybe drift, but it isn't that restful if he's being honest.

[pyrighteous]

[ Drifting works too! Hunter actually does manage to pass out himself, at least for a little while. ]

[neonleon]

[Better. He feels better knowing Hunter is resting. Poor guy's been burning the candle at both ends here trying to get Leo back on his feet. This time, Leo stays in bed with him, just holding him for now as Lucky climbs out of his shell to curl up next to them both.

But a few hours goes by and he gently jostles him.]

Hey, Hunts. Time to get up.

[pyrighteous]

[ Hunter JOLTS back out of sleep at the jostle. ]

-- I'm okay!

[ wait. he's awake. ]

Oh, it's you. Guess I fell asleep huh.

[neonleon]

[Cute.]

Yeah, that wwwwas the plan. To sleep for a few hours. You wanna sleep some more or get up?
