That weird temple wasn't good, but it wasn't the worst. Not by far now that he's back in this dimension. He floats a bit aimlessly, body broken, shell cracked and falling apart, some bones and insides shattered. His head aches in a way that he can't think.

All he can really do is hope Prime doesn't find him immediately right now. The light off his ring catches his eye and he looks at it, not fully registering that it's lit up.

Too big brained msytic for Leo's sensibilities. All he knows is Lucky chose him, he gave Lucky a bad first day, but Lucky is still choosing him. So he'll do his best.]

I don't know. I still hear animal noises, but they mean something. I just know.

[Lucky makes a little noise against Leo's neck, burrowing in fully intending to just go to sleep.]

Yeah, you're probably right. [That's not even applicable to what Lucky said.]

[ Hunter laughs a bit. ]

[Well he'll still keep trying!! But he gets the door for Hunter, holding it open.] Should get him a perch or bed or something?

Eventually. But for tonight he can just stay with us.

[ joke's on them, that pine marten's taking over their bed ]

[Oh that bed belongs to Lucky now. Leo just smiles at Hunter as they go upstairs, taking stock of things. It... should be manageable for now with the one arm.]

How are you feeling?

Honestly? Exhausted. But. Relieved too.

...I definitely get that. C'mon.

[He kinda gives Hunter a nudge to the bed, shifting to let Lucky leap to the bed so he can get this shirt off.]

We'll get some rest.

[ Hunter turns to help him with that. ]

Yeah. And tomorrow the graveyard will be quiet. If we want to go.

[He's grateful for the help, even with those fleeting little touches. Why is his face heating up. Unfair.]

[ Leo convalescing, and then his chores here were more pressing, and then Leo getting hurt again ... yeah. ]

[ NO idea. Hunter knows this, but he can't help but brighten. It's a lonely place and he misses his brothers. ]

[It's said far more earnestly than he really means but... No, he does mean that. He reaches for Hunter's elbow just to hold, to keep contact.]

[ Hunter leans into that a little. ]

[When Hunter leans in, Leo steps the rest of the way to pull him in close.]

It's the least I can do, after everything. So... So let's get some sleep. And go from when we wake up.

[ Hunter gently moves to hug him then. And lay the both of them down. ]

[Hunter lays them down, but Leo tests the water to lean in and give him a kiss. Just seeing Hunter's reaction.]

[ [ oh. hunter goes red? And immediately goes to kiss him back. A little hesitant and gentle - he might be holding back for Leo's sake. ]

[Leo smiles a little before leaning into that, wanting that-

And is abruptly cut off by a pine marten butt flopping against his forehead.]

[ Hunter laughs and draws back a lil. ]

He is right though. We should rest.

[If it's not bloody scenarios, it's pine marten butts. Leo lets his head sort of flop onto the mattress with a sigh and moves to just hold Hunter's hand.]

Yeah. Rest, sleep. We're working on it, Lucky.
