[He sits up as Leo gets up.]

I have been wondering about that. It stands to reason both you and Raph should be able to channel without a conduit if Mikey and I can.

[Donnie is watching him, so definitely noting that. That's. Weird?]

But- [He takes a breath. Starts to focus on the picture in his hand, the back of it shining his ninpo blue.]

This is good. [As he focuses, the room shifts around them. They're standing and sitting on the roof of a mid-sized skyscraper overlooking downtown Manhattan at night. It looks, sounds, almost even smells like home with all the noise of cars honking and people yelling.

Once it's done, he moves to sit next to Don, letting his feet dangle over the edge.]

We can't interact with anything or go further than this spot but... It's nice.

I suspect its a mental hurdle situation. Mikey and I do regularly make things as a passion, its an easier jump.

[He does watch, waiting to see what happens and]

[He hadn't quite realized how much he had missed New York until]

[Right now.]

[He stares out at the scenery, silent for several beats.]

[And then he leans against Leo.]

[He lets Donnie lean, bringing one knee up to rest his chin on. He just.. keeps looking out. Long enough, Don will notice everything is on a loop, replaying the same visuals.

But does it really matter?]

Just.. Sit in here sometimes when I need to relax.

[Not really, no.]

[He nods.] I would do the same.

[He's still tired. Exhausted. The past several days have been a lot.]

[But he can feel the tension of snapping unwinding. The break not likely to be so dramatic.]

[He gives his brother a little squeeze of the shoulders before letting him just lean against him.]

Yeah. It's really cool. Thought you could use the break.

[He nods.]

I have missed the ability to just hang out in a sewer tunnel.

Wow, that sounds very depressing said aloud.

It really does sound kinda depressing when you say it out loud.

Cursed natural quiet and dimness.

But hey, it's home. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

[He hums.] It'll be good to see again.

[He's silent for a time, just watching the loop.]

I don't think I ever appreciated just how strong Mikey is. He makes it seem so easy to be optimistic.

He really does.

[It's exhausting to think about. He kinda gets it, he can bring out the Hopium sometimes, but not nearly as often as Mikey is able to just dispense it.]

We'll be fine.

We will. I'm not going to give up.

[No matter how exhausting it is.]

I have to many people I care about to give up.

But this is making it easier.

[He leans, nudging shoulders with Donnie.]

I'm not either. Got enough plans in the works to make it all work out.

[Leans more against him.]

Yeah, because I had the after parts all worked out. You just kept focusing on how upset you were so I never got to explain it before.

I go with Hunter back to the Boiling Isles. Hunter explained they have a stable portal door there they use to go to Connecticut, then I can just portal hop my way to Manhattan whenever.

[Except part of Leo's problem is thinking they're different New York's-]

Yes, that is part of my plans to making sure we can see everyone after this. Between Hunter's knowledge, the knowledge back home, Viktor, and Choco-chan and Wash can apparently just...dimension hop themselves.

The parts are all there for interdimensional travel for everyone.
