[ring ring, it's an audio call, Tryse can't text or hit speech to text anymore because her hands hurt too much. It's definitely her profile, and weird French/German accent, but a lower, slightly raspy voice. And very tight with pain.]
Leonardo, sorry to bother you. Do you have a moment?
You know tailoring and fashion far better than I do.
Those rainbow crystals that some of the punished have. Do you think that, broken down and reshaped into beads, they'd make an attractive adornment for a cape or something along those lines? Would that be a thing that can be done?
Does Snail not have anyone with that? One of the possible punishments for the last game. Either way, after that's been handled, I have a pile of them and they're useless for magic and alchemy.
I don't know anything about color theory beyond "These two colors look nice next to one another." I lucked out when making your brother's sleeves, the family colors suit each other nicely. However, that's the absolute limit of my knowledge in this area.
In this arena, I really am an amateur who's simply fortunate enough to have two useful spells to speed things along.
I can take a look when things calm down and see what better advice I can give whenever everyone's done licking their wounds. But hey, sometimes being able to tell two colors look nice next to one another is a great skill. Not everyone's got that.
I'd probably be more confident, but about the only color I've worn that isn't black in just over two years has been Robin's Egg blue. And the person I'd normally turn to is one of the ones I'm thinking of making a gift for.
It's not just color, I'll probably need advising on exact fabric type and other such things. It wasn't quite so important as when making quilted armor, that just involved as many layers as would be feasible.
Oooh the old 'limited options in order to surprise someone' situation, yeah I get ya. I mean black's good for a lot of things but you gotta have some variety.
Yeah, I'll help with that, no biggie. Depends if the fabric ruin is open but I can always double check and we can figure it out when they are open. Thank goodness I'm not just using bedsheets still.
DAY 98

But he'll answer.]

...Would it be too gaudy?
Re: DAY 98
I mean, I don't see why not? Depends on how you do it but shouldn't be too bad depending on what color fabric that cape is.

It would be appreciated.

Re: DAY 98
In my instance, the black was for mourning. I was very fond of white and blue before then.
Egg has some stored away, but I'll just trust you in whether it's a good shot. You do this often, after all.
Either way, it's on youn own time. No rush.

Re: DAY 98
I'll be at Robin's Egg when you feel ready.
Re: DAY 98
Yeah, I'll let you know when.
