[Leo finally smiles a little more brightly at the kiss, keeping his face pressed into Peter's hair. Still not raising his voice.]

I was gonna ask if you wanted to keep where we were staying as an official office hours space or make it something else for the group and have a meeting room somewhere different.

[heyunderoos]

Maybe a meeting room. [Peter muses as he lazily draws his fingers along Leo's arm.] After what happened today, people are probably going to be a little spooked.

Definitely. I'd be shocked if we don't have a lot of civs concerned for their own safety.

[He focuses on that touch, the warmth in Peter's fingertips.]

Maybe a counseling office?

We'll need to soothe frazzled nerves for a good while. Reassure everyone that things are fine, and we're fixing it.

[He resists his urge to nod given his spouse is leaned into him like this.] That would be a good idea. I'm not- official, but it could make people come by more willingly?

Could be good, yeah. Once this settles down, there's gotta be someone around here with experience. That way it's not all entirely on you.

We can probably find a way to pay any actual licensed therapist in extra rations or something for the work? Since it'll be a lot to take on. [Whilst Peter essentially never asked for extra anything, but just wanted to help.]

[neonleon]

Agreed. We'll sort it out in the next meeting.

[He sighs, some of the tension bleeding out of his posture holding Peter close.]

The only ones who'll know where we're staying now will be family. Just.. safety measures and all. ...But I think they're probably throwing those "flooded" sheets out. [He can't help the smirk as he says that.]

[heyunderoos]

[That startles a little laugh out of Peter. He winces openly at the brief strain that brings to the wound. He sucks in a slow breath between his teeth.]

Thank god, the webbing dissolved while we were sleep, oh my god.

[neonleon]

[At the open show of strain, Leo rubs at his side gently, trying to ease him back down a bit. But he chuckles softly against him.]

Right? Like, yeah no question why we were still asleep but I think we'd've gotten an earful if Don saw that.

[heyunderoos]

[He snorts quietly at that, trying to be mindful of his still healing injury. Peter relaxes into the gentle rub.]

We'll just call that cartridge of web fluid lost in action, so we don't have to think about it again. Totally no web shenanigans here.

Happens all the time. No questions asked.

[Leo is well and fully aware Donnie will listen to this recording at some later date. But can't do anything about it now but put that warning in.

He noses into Peter's hair with a sigh.]

[Peter mentally files away the thought of finding more supplies to make up for the webbing. For now, he's just content against Leo. His favorite person. He's loose and languid as the ache from the bullet wound fades to something manageable.]

For now, it's just you and me.

[He hums into those soft curls. Not the fiftieth or last time he'd wish he had hair again.]

Sounds perfect. Just need some candles and server pouring us mimosas and we have a perfect date morning.

[Says local turtle who never had one. Shake that the face man never got a chance to get drunk before the Krang decided to destroy all good things.]

[Peter manages to keep himself from laughing again, but it comes out in an amused whoosh of breath.]

You think either of us would feel alcohol? I always wondered. [Both of them were a little too well-behaved to drink under aged.]

[neonleon]

Hmm... Now there's a thought I'd rather not have Donnie try to prove and take away the fun.

[He rests his chin on Peter's head softly, thinking.] I think we'd probably have to drink a lot of it really fast to try and get ahead of the metabolism. And we'd probably feel it for... Iunno, a minute? Minute and a half? And then we'd taste it all over again.

[heyunderoos]

[Peter just coaxes his fingers absently along his husband's arm, drifting down to his side, well, as much of it as he can reach.]

So, in Vegas, we'd have to get a lot of shots. Follow it up with like something that actually tastes good but is potent...?

That or we just get a lot of those fancy cocktails. I think those really pack a punch and are good tasting?

I'd say only if it's the same flavor the whole way. Imagine a bunch of different flavors back to back in seconds, eugh.

[But Leo closes his eyes enjoying this moment.]

I think hard liquor and then the cocktails.

Depends on how drunk we get for that full minute, I mean. Then reality just kinda comes crashing back down. Either way, I think we have a plan.

[Peter muses with a smile.] I mean... back in high school Ned and I kind of looked up alcohols you're supposed to start with, but, I felt too awkward watching the video since it was meant for people way older than we were. Ned talked about when we went on that summer trip we could maybe drink, but that felt too dishonest.

Ugh, I knew there was probably a guide out there somewhere.

[But there was Jupiter Jim stuff to look up that was more important.]

Why oh why do we have to be such good law abiding youngsters when we could've experimented things for science?

[heyunderoos]

There were a lot of them, back when we googled it. [Not a real possibility anymore, but Peter side steps saying as much.] It felt really overwhelming.

[Peter presses a brief kiss against his husband's shoulder.] I wasn't too law abiding, jumping around in a lycra and spandex suit to stop crime was very illegal. I think you liked that criminal behavior I was up to.

You were stopping crime, I think that counts you as law abiding by intent.

I did like what you were up to though. So glad you kept the suit.

[heyunderoos]

If we go by the accords, no, extremely illegal. I was a horrible criminal all along. [Another kiss for Leo's shoulder, and then at the edge of his plastron.]

You just like gazing at my ass when I put the suit on. [Its a fond tease if anything.]

Heh. The worst.

[Leo gives Peter's waist a gentle squeeze, wary of the wound still.]

Yeah? So what if I do? It's a good view.

[heyunderoos]

Can you believe, you married a hardened criminal? [And another kiss to Leo's shoulder, because Peter just wants his husband to get as much affection as he deserves.

The squeeze just makes him smile.]

Pretty sure only you think that, but thank you. Thank you for gazing.

Oh, I can promise you, I am not the only one. Guarantee by this time tomorrow, this room is gonna be full of get well cards and gifts for you from all your secret admirers.
