That weird temple wasn't good, but it wasn't the worst. Not by far now that he's back in this dimension. He floats a bit aimlessly, body broken, shell cracked and falling apart, some bones and insides shattered. His head aches in a way that he can't think.

All he can really do is hope Prime doesn't find him immediately right now. The light off his ring catches his eye and he looks at it, not fully registering that it's lit up.

[ Hunter IMMEDIATELY goes red. ]

Y - yes - well - I mean, your other brothers are nice too but -

They aren't me, I know.

[He sounds more smug like he used to, taking another bite of soup. Even as he feels his arm twinge a bit. That's.. fine. Healing process. He grips his spoon a little better before eating some more.]

[ Hunter settles in to eat too, soothed by the familiar food and Leo doing better. ]

They aren’t you. You’re definitely my favorite.

[Leo just preens even more hearing that, leaning on the table a little at him.]

And that's why you've got a good eye.

Well - I mean - um -

[ As Hunter goes red, Dell laughs. ]

“You seem good for each other.”

[neonleon]

[Leo smiles a little more genuinely hearing that. He nods at Dell before sitting again and taking up the meal again.]

I'm- trying to be good for him.

You ARE good for me. Amazing for me.

[ Hunter reaches out for Leo's bad hand. ]

[He pauses and watches Hunter's hand before reaching for it.]

Then I gotta keep it up.

[ Hunter grips it gently, mindful of the bandages. ]

You will. I know you will.

For now just rest and eat, okay?

..That's the plan. [He nods, giving him a gentle squeeze back.

He's kinda forgotten Dell is watching but he remembers when he hears the man clear his throat.]

-- Right! Um! Better eat before this gets cold!

[ He reluctantly withdraws his hand. ]

Yep! Yep, it's- best when it's hot.

[Totally, absolutely. Just going back to his own food, but catching glimpses of Hunter.]

[ Hunter falls into casual conversation with Dell, telling him about how the university is doing, how good the healing ward is, where Darius is at with Alador (no progress)...

He still winds up blushing every time their eyes meet. ]

[Dell sees it every time, smiles a little more. He's glad the boy found someone to care about so positively that's such a good fit.]

-nyway, thanks for letting me stay while I'm here.

[ Dell waves a hand. ]

“This is Hunter’s home. Of course you’re welcome here.”

Wait-

I thought it was your home. [Dell.] Wow.

So that's cool.

“It is my home. But it’s Hunter’s too.”

[neonleon]

Hopefully I don't mess that up.

[He does finish his food before sitting back and rubbing at his bandaged arm a bit.]

Food was great, btw.

“Thank you, Leo. There will be more available for later if you need it.”

I’ll take care of him if he needs it, yeah.

I'll have to cook for you both when I can.

[And not like. Drop everything with his bad hand.] What else should I know?
