That weird temple wasn't good, but it wasn't the worst. Not by far now that he's back in this dimension. He floats a bit aimlessly, body broken, shell cracked and falling apart, some bones and insides shattered. His head aches in a way that he can't think.

All he can really do is hope Prime doesn't find him immediately right now. The light off his ring catches his eye and he looks at it, not fully registering that it's lit up.

And I think at this point even if you did mess up, they wouldn't be so quick to run from you. They like you a lot.

[Leo shifts from holding his hand to draping the arm around Hunter's shoulders.] Embrace it, Hunts! Don't think too much about it, you'll run yourself around in circles like that.

[ Hunter bows his head down a bit to lean into that. ]

[Just- He leans in to butt his head against Hunter's with a little sigh. He knows Hunter tries.]

Though... They're all okay with me trying out flyer derby?

[ hunter butts back and brightens. ]

Of COURSE they are. Even Willow’s face lit up.

[ Willow is willing to set aside jealousy if it means she gets an awesome player okay. ]

Yeah? You talked up how good I am while I was recovering, huh?

Oh yeah. And I warned her you’d need time to get up to full strength, but also that you’d just be awesome for longer.

[He's thinking about it while they walk, though. Both about smooching Hunter more, but also about flyer derby. He closes the door behind them but looks thoughtful for a second.]

[ Hunter hangs his jacket up aside and heads up the stairs to their room. ]

Well - a staff, obviously. You can borrow one from Dell if you want. We’ve got a range of palismen who can work with you.

[Leo watches him go up before starting to follow after him.]

There are palismen without witches? I- didn't know that.

[Knowing Flapjack, that's... so sad actually.]

Yeah. Palismen live a long time. We have a nice little hutch for the strays out back, and we help witches adopt them when they want to be adopted.

[Genuinely, seriously. He starts peeling his gloves and shirt off once in their room. Trying not to think too hard about that as he catches sight of his ring.]

Then- whenever's good, I wanna see them.

[ Hunter sits on the foot of the bed and carefully peels out of his outer layer. ]

[He visibly brightens at that, plopping down next to him.]

Perfect. Get to sleep some, get some breakfast, then meet the palismen. Sounds like a good plan.

[ oh. Well. In that case. Hunter leans just a bit closer. ]

Maybe we could fit one more thing in there?

Oh- I guess definitely some self care. You guys do face scrubs and moisturizers, right?
