That weird temple wasn't good, but it wasn't the worst. Not by far now that he's back in this dimension. He floats a bit aimlessly, body broken, shell cracked and falling apart, some bones and insides shattered. His head aches in a way that he can't think.

All he can really do is hope Prime doesn't find him immediately right now. The light off his ring catches his eye and he looks at it, not fully registering that it's lit up.

[LISTEN HE WASN'T GONNA SAY IT but the fact it happened to his dad TWICE.]

They ended up not getting married, but he'll get to know you and realize how amazing and great and sweet and hard-working you are and be down for our engagement, so don't even worry about it, you're leagues above.

You will. Not just for that, but. I dunno, dad's just got a way of making you fel safe around him.

[ Hunter has plenty of family from Snek but dad vibes are new. ]

[Leo smiles a little at that, tucking Hunter in close.]

Yeah. Like having a real dad. He's the best dad.

[ Hunter leans into that, utterly content. ]

He won't mind having another son?

I know he won't mind. He'll be thrilled one of us is finally marrying.

... How long has he been waiting??

Since he knew we were sentient? Probably ten years.

Wow. Uh. He really um - wanted that then.

... my uncle definitely tried to murder anyone I got close to.

Well. I'm glad he's dead because I like being not murdered. He'd have super murdered me. [Leo lifts up Hunter's hand to kiss his ring.]

[pyrighteous]

He'd have super murdered you.

[ Hunter pinks at the kiss. ]

But I think that's basically a compliment at this point.

I'm definitely taking it as one.

[Willow might kill him though.]

[ Sorry Willow, you gotta work that out on your own.

Anyway, Hunter settles down against Leo's shoulder again. ]

Do you mind if I nap a little on the way there?

[neonleon]

Nah, you deserve the nap. I'm not going anywhere. [He'll settle in too, making sure Hunter and Lucky are both comfortable against him.] Still got half way to go.

[pyrighteous]

All right. Just - wake me up if anything happens?

[ He's already settling in close. ]

[neonleon]

I will wake you up if the coolest thing ever is about to happen. Or we're about to get to the train station, whichever comes first.

[pyrighteous]

[ Hunter laughs at that. ]

Probably the train station.

[neonleon]

[He smiles a little and intertwines their fingers.]

Probably. Go ahead, rest up.

[pyrighteous]

[ A nod, and then Hunter relaxes against his fiancé. He could really use really use the nap here ... and soon enough, he's drifting off. ]

[And Leo lets him, occasionally cooing Lucky under his breath, occasionally glancing a over his shoulder at the old woman knitting away.

But after some bumps and a quiet ride, picking up a few other people who get on the bus, they make it to the station about forty minutes later. But he waits for almost everyone else to get off before gently shaking Hunter.]

Hey, Hunts. We're here.

[pyrighteous]

[ Hunter jolts at that, eyes wild for a moment. ]

[ Oh. He blinks the sleep away blearily. ]

... Oh. That's a train station?

[neonleon]

[Adorable. Leo keeps his arm around Hunter's shoulders to help ease him a bit.]

Yep, that's a train station. C'mon, let's get our bags. [He's already getting to his feet, ready to get his.]

[ Sir this is Connecticut. Anyway, he grabs his backpack and duffel bag and shuffles off the bus. ]
