I'm sorry. I should have double checked that you were contacted. I thought I just...lost track with everything.

[He runs both hands down his face before grabbing his katana.]

It's all right. I'll- Look, I'll be back in a few.

[And portals out. Movie still playin tho.

But he comes back a short indeterminate amount of time later depending on the thread that happens and flops back down.]

[He nods.] Okay.

[He lets the movie play a few minutes, before he pauses it and puts on one of the Jupiter Jim movies.]

[A random one, not seven galaxies or pluto vacation. He can't give it the proper attention he wants to and will work on getting rid of old scales.]

[He watches that movie change over tiredly before moving to shuck off his clothes and pick the process back up. Sometimes parallel play can be two brothers trying to shed faster.]

[He had changed the movie over with Leo gone. He...hadn't wanted to watch Lou Jitsu alone.]

[Not right now.]

[But the parallel play for a while sounds good for a time. At least to get rid of some of the worst.]

[Lets it go for a while as he gets off the worst of what he get before finally slumping against Leo again.]

[He pauses mid-scrape at the slump, looking at Donnie, then resuming the work.]

Got something to show you sometime. It's a good thing, just... Wasn't sure when.

[He nods.] Not sure tonight is good. I want to see.

...Could be relaxing. It relaxes me a lot. But if you're sure.

[He smiles a little, getting back up to his feet.]

Emet here's been trying to help me learn how to use my ninpo without channeling my sword and gave me some homework and it's- It's good.

[Just goes to his dresser to get the family picture Casey Jr gave him. But if Don's sharp, he'll catch the back shines like an iridescent hologram of blue.]

We can't do much but sit and watch, but... It's still worth it.

[He sits up as Leo gets up.]

I have been wondering about that. It stands to reason both you and Raph should be able to channel without a conduit if Mikey and I can.

But- [He takes a breath. Starts to focus on the picture in his hand, the back of it shining his ninpo blue.]

This is good. [As he focuses, the room shifts around them. They're standing and sitting on the roof of a mid-sized skyscraper overlooking downtown Manhattan at night. It looks, sounds, almost even smells like home with all the noise of cars honking and people yelling.

Once it's done, he moves to sit next to Don, letting his feet dangle over the edge.]

We can't interact with anything or go further than this spot but... It's nice.

I suspect its a mental hurdle situation. Mikey and I do regularly make things as a passion, its an easier jump.

[He does watch, waiting to see what happens and]

[He hadn't quite realized how much he had missed New York until]

[He stares out at the scenery, silent for several beats.]

[And then he leans against Leo.]

[He lets Donnie lean, bringing one knee up to rest his chin on. He just.. keeps looking out. Long enough, Don will notice everything is on a loop, replaying the same visuals.

But does it really matter?]

Just.. Sit in here sometimes when I need to relax.

[Not really, no.]

[He nods.] I would do the same.

[He's still tired. Exhausted. The past several days have been a lot.]

[But he can feel the tension of snapping unwinding. The break not likely to be so dramatic.]

[He gives his brother a little squeeze of the shoulders before letting him just lean against him.]

Wow, that sounds very depressing said aloud.

It really does sound kinda depressing when you say it out loud.

But hey, it's home. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

[He hums.] It'll be good to see again.

[He's silent for a time, just watching the loop.]

I don't think I ever appreciated just how strong Mikey is. He makes it seem so easy to be optimistic.
