Long as my family's happy, I'm fine. Only reason I ever went topside was to go to Hueso's for pizza and when they wanted to do something.

They probably wanna finish repairing the lair and help April with stuff since the invasion.

If the repair work's still on-going whenever we get an opportunity to leave this place, I was thinking about offering to come help you guys out with it.

[ Shuffles over to open the window, perching on the ledge. ]

[While he's not outside Sparrow, he is just kind of out. She might spot a couple flashes of blue here and there by the gate.]

Oh I wouldn't dream of getting rid of you at all. You're stuck with us.

[ Hmm. Blue sighted. She just keeps an eye out for now. ]

[Those blue flashes are just slowly making their way past the temple gate and into the woods.]

Oho. Well I'll have to keep my ninjocity at max level to keep you on your toes.

Speaking of ninjocity, Leo-kun, why are you going into the woods at night? Hang on, I'm coming with you.

[ Grabs! Her cloak! ]

Hm? Oh - working on something.

[So she has eyes on him..... Not the worst, and if she wants to come maybe it'll help having a second set of eyes here.]

[ Cloak on, weapons equipped, pendant safely around her neck as always. ]

Just be a second.

[ Teleports over to him while she's still in the middle of pulling one of her boots one-handed, slipping her phone into her makeshift cloth bag with the other. ]

[Yeah he'll hang up and wait where he is just outside the gate in the snow. Thankfully he's bundled up warm this time with both katana strapped to his back and waiting. Soon as he sees her, he gives a wave.]

[ BOOTS: ON. Success. She's ready to go. ]

So, what's the plan?

Well.

[Now that she's here, he starts walking, occasionally picking up a limb or broken branch and starts a stack in his arm.]

So fun thing we can do, at least I do it. I dunno about the others, but I can turn any of these into a weapon.

In a mystic-y magic sense, I'm assuming, not rudimentary sharp sticks. That's cool.

[ a thoughtful hum. ]

Bear traps for Belos or something? [ She doubts it, there'd be too much risk of hurting something or someone he didn't mean to. ]

Hm. Not quite.

[As they walk, he'll use his ninpo to turn one branch into a katana, then tuck it into the snow in the underbrush next to a tree. Fairly hidden. He'll do that periodically while they walk: pick up some branches, turn one into a sword, hide it.]

He's out here somewhere, probably, might even be listening right now. So I don't wanna give it away.

Good point. Maybe you can tell me later.

[ Hm, she forgot gloves — wait, no she didn't. Pulls a pair out of a pocket she'd sewn into the inner lining of her winter cloak. That's better. ]

Which reminds me, I'm inviting you over to Sparrow for a hot drink after this.

[ offers him a nice branch ]

[Doop de doo, there they go. More swords being hidden.

Every now and then he'll look up at a tree, portal himself up high and hide a sword in a tree before coming back down.]

Oh yeah? What drinks d'you guys have?

[ his portalling is so goddamn impressive it's hard not to get starry eyed all over again. she lets herself watch, at least, when she's not taking a moment to strain her senses for any sign of trouble. ]

No hot chocolate, unfortunately. [ HER FAVORITE. What she wouldn't give for a cup. ] But I went the other day with a teammate and stocked up on a whole bunch of different teas and coffees. I found a black tea blend with strawberry and bergamot? Or that's what it tasted like. Super yummy.

Oh, yeah there's some good tea in there. I nabbed a bunch for Snail too, along with some coffee.

I have got to get to the kitchen ruin to get something to bring the flavor syrups back with.

I've got a bunch of tupperware you could use? Bottles would probably easier though, for syrups.

The tupperware would be good for tea leaves and coffee beans...

[Twirls one katana around his hand before going up in a tree again.

Then back down next to her.]

Bottles are definitely easier.

My stash is yours for the raiding. And if you want company for the kitchen ruin, let me know? I don't love the paranoia gas situation, but it's not the worst.

[ she's already hypervigilant. what's a little more! ]

I've only been once, and Donald gets real weird if I mention wanting to go. I don't think he likes the idea of me going in there. Sure, whenever.

[He definitely heard it. Can pinpoint where it came from, but he's not making a move to acknowledge it yet.]
