[Leonardo doesn't know what happened. He's sure he's sleeping in bed, but it's not as soft as his best, and the lights are way too harsh. They shouldn't even be on, let alone this bright and loud.
It isn't until he opens his eyes and tries to sit up that he realizes everything is very, very very wrong. But he hears his name- his brother's names and that has to be-
He starts to move only to be stopped by the same restraints.]
Leo! [The sound of Leo's voice is enough to ease Peter considerably. His gaze snaps towards a curtained-off part of the room, Leo's silhouette is familiar enough that it makes Peter feel better.
He rolls off the bed, wobbly and unsteady footing wise. Peter isn't even sure what happened to make him feel this awful. All he can do is hope that Leo is feeling better than he is.
He moves around the other empty beds, making a beeline towards the curtained off bed. He rips it open, getting tangled in the fabric and just hitting the floor for a moment.]
[His pulse races now, trying to painfully get up and it's not working. Everything hurts.] Peter!
[There's a sound of jingling metal as he's trying to tug his hands free from the handcuffs keeping him there. He's strong, but he's not Spider Boy Strong, especially not when he's already hurt like this.]
[Peter manages to pull himself up onto his feet, trying to keep himself steady. He is quickly learning too much weight on one side hurts a lot more than he would like.]
I've- been better. I dunno how hurt I am right now. [He reaches out to grab onto the cuff holding Leo's wrist in place. The metal twists and crack apart. Now the turtle should be able to get out of the bed.]
Are you okay-?
[He'll take stock of his own situation in a second. He has to make sure his best friend is okay.]
[It's taking some doing sitting up, one side wit ha sharp pain that feels wet against his side in a way he doesn't want to think too hard about right now. But sitting up he can do, immediately holding the pained side and looking around.]
I'm not- I'm not sure. [Peter reaches out to try and help Leo sit up. Peter lets the touch linger by a lot, finding comfort in the proximity.
He's planting his feet pretty much as flat as he can on the floor to stay steady. Peter can tell he needs to sit down, but waking up in some weird new location means thats not the best plan right now.]
We were on patrol, right-? It was just us and, I think we were gonna call everyone else?
[Sitting up just hurts his side, but the thought of standing makes his head spin and stomach churn uncomfortably. Leo settles one hand on Peter's shoulder to steady himself.
It finally happened, it's their worst nightmare. Caught and he's going to be experimented on-
He can't let whoever this is find his brothers. He lowers his voice to a whisper.]
If someone comes to talk to us, I'm alone. I don't have any brothers, they can't-
[The fact Leo can't get up properly just makes Peter's stomach twist uncomfortably. Worry and fear mingle sharply together. He's trying to remember specifically what happened and is drawing a blank.]
Okay, it's- it's just you. [He agrees in a whisper back, worry clear on his features.] It's just me and you.
[Peter debates with himself, before moving to carefully move to scoop the turtle up in his arms.] Lets get out of here, okay?
[Once Peter is sure Leo is settled in his arms, he gently starts forward away from the bed. Peter can see the door at least, all he has to do is walk around the beds present.
His ankle twinges with certain steps but he ignores it. He'll recover faster than Leo will.]
We'll find it. It has to be nearby. Same with my suit. [He's been trying to ignore the fact he's been changed when he was out cold earlier.]
[They have to be together - the sword and suit. He focuses, tries thinking about the layout and the direction they're going and where they've come from.
But everything hurts, he's fairly certain he's got at least one broken rib, another cracked. Something's wrong with one of his legs and he can't pinpoint it just yet. But he leans his head against Peter for the briefest moment, taking a shaky breath and letting it out carefully before he looks around again.]
Yeah. Yeah, we'll find our stuff, and then get out of here.
If we can't, we'll figure out something else. Dream team, remember? [Peter is mentally shuffling through what they could do. Right now they're absolutely in the dark about what any of this. He tries for even a touch of humor, wanting to help make things less... terrible.
Peter slows as they come upon the door.
He makes sure Leo is balanced in his grasp as he reaches out to try the knob. He isn't surprised it's locked. He twists the knob hard enough it cracks off and the lock goes with it. Peter is able to open the door.
The hallway they're let out into is... dark. The dim fluorescent lights overhead flicker occasionally, only making the walls with peeling paint and boarded-up windows feel all the worse.
Peter makes a face at the hallway, but starts out into it.]
Can't believe we're both the final girl here. [Peter jokes weakly back as he keeps moving forward. The lights dim further ahead only making Peter's skin crawl.
He could deflect, but, right now that won't really help. He needs to figure out how badly Leo is hurt too.] I might've sprained an ankle. I can still walk on it. Walked on worse.
I can at least brute force my way through any doors or windows. So, we'll be out soon.
That we'll be out soon, not- your ankle, that'll heal up quick, right? [Not that he's ever made a point of knowing all the ins and outs of Peter's mutation, but he has at least made note that usually when he's patching everyone up, Peter needs the least attention for less time.]
Okay. Okay, yeah we can work with that. I've, uh. I dunno what happened to my side, but I can feel at lest one broken rib. Something's wrong with my leg too. Also my mouth is really dry and I've got a headache? [That's a concussion, Leo.]
I figured, don't worry. I think I slept off anything else for the most part. When we get out of here, I can probably stay off of it a few days and it'll be good. [Peter had gotten lucky when it came to his mutation. He healed, and he healed quickly if he got enough food, water, and rest under his belt. It was only ever slow when he had too many severe injuries back to back.
He frowns a little at the description. He had to wonder if that was a concussion. May had explained concussions enough to him to make it stick in the back of Peter's mind.]
That's- definitely not good. Just try to stay awake with me, if you start feeling sleepy tell me.
[Another shaky breath. Another slow forced exhale. Clear his head. Think. They're both strong, but Peter's always been stronger. And right now Peter's the one who can move more freely, but if they have to bolt, Leo can at least take the hit to his shell so he could just ride piggyback if they have to so Leo can protect his six.]
Yeah... [Swallows down... something. Trying not to think hard about that.] Yeah, awake. Right.
Got it.
[Will Donnie's tracker on him work wherever they are? If his phone is around here, Donnie can definitely track them with that. But would he even think to look?]
It sounds concussion-y. [Peter offers, going off of what he remembered.] I've had a few before, and it seems kind of familiar.
[The hallway feels like its going on forever. The lack of other doors doesn't make it feel any better really.] Yeah, give them an hour maybe and we'll definitely be noticed. Especially if they made a point to take us here.
Yeah. [Pppphew okay.] Definitely concussion. [Once it's said out loud, he knows it's true. Great. Fucking great.
He takes a second to press his face into Peter's shoulder and breathe in deep. Just for a second.]
Do we even know how long we've been out? How long is this hallway?
[It's a weird sensation, feeling something dripping from him. His side or his leg, he can't be sure because all of his skin feels like it's prickling electric and makes it hard to determine what open wound is still going. But he can feel it, he thinks.]
[Peter tries to ignore the feeling the face against his shoulder gives him. Now is not the time for this. Peter just protectively keeps Leo close to him, trying to just- protect him from anything else possibly happening.]
I have a few half healed bruises on my arms, which means at least a couple of hours. Four-five-? It feels like it goes on forever, but we're half way down it.
[His spider sense prickles uncomfortably, enough Peter physically tenses, his stance becoming defensive as he looks around.]
[The sound of wood and foundation shifting and settling is enough to set Leo's teeth on edge. The uneasy creak of the building around them makes everything uneasy.
Something about it is... wrong. Like now it feels like they're waiting for something to happen, the creaking was just the start.]
I don't like this. [Far more serious than Leo usually handles himself.]
Yeah, I don't either. [Peter agrees, he slows, eying one of the boarded up windows.]
Honestly tempted to get the boards down and have an immediate exit-
I would recommend you not break down another window, Mr. Parker. [A woman's voice cuts through the quiet, startling Peter enough he whirls around to glare at her. She's a woman only slightly taller than they are, wearing pressed slacks, a sweater over a button up shirt layered under a lab coat.]
Both of you should be resting right now. You had quite the experience.
[His head swims when Peter spins around that fast, blinking rapidly trying to focus. No, he's fine, he's okay. He stares at her, realizing pretty quickly this is her doing. Both the kidnapping and the weird feeling he's trying to ignore.]
[Peter is decidedly unaware, still just trying to keep Leo close and safe. His spider sense is prickling at her presence.
The woman smiles at them thinly, a professional smile. The expression just makes Peter feel more uncomfortable.
I'm trying to help you boys. A horrible accident befell both of you, and this was the safest place for you. I have your things set aside for the moment.
Accident-? [Peter throws back with a scrunch of his nose.]
[He doesn't know, really, people in movies and comics have short-range amnesia from horrible accidents all the time. People wouldn't just make that up for dramatic stories, would they? No, there'd have to be some real life basis on it even though that's not a specific thread of medical information he's ever had to look into.
No, right now, he's got to bluff.]
Great, well we're awake now and if you'd give us our stuff we can get an ambulance and get Peter to a hospital.

We are both far too pretty for this horror movie schtick.
[He hates this so much... But no such thing as ghosts, so there's gotta be something else up here.]
