That weird temple wasn't good, but it wasn't the worst. Not by far now that he's back in this dimension. He floats a bit aimlessly, body broken, shell cracked and falling apart, some bones and insides shattered. His head aches in a way that he can't think.

All he can really do is hope Prime doesn't find him immediately right now. The light off his ring catches his eye and he looks at it, not fully registering that it's lit up.

[It's a long night. And a long couple of days there. Leo doesn't sleep much, if at all. Just sometimes laying awake with Lucky and Hunter cuddled up to him, but feeling at the stump and making sure his eyes are dry by the time the both of them wake up. No idea what his family would think if he ever did make it back home now.

He gets the okay to leave after a ew days. Tugs on a shirt Luz brought that was easy to take on and off to leave unbuttoned until he could get used to it.]

[ True to his word, Hunter has spent all his time by Leo's side, minus a few breaks for fresh air courtesy of Darius. He's tired too by the time they get clearance to leave, but he's glad to get back to Dell's place, at least. ]

Yeah. Gonna, uh. Put a vote in for not being hurt enough to be brought back here again.

[ Hunter nods, trying not to wince as he looks at Leo's stump. ]

Dell's all ready for us. He said he prepped a special dinner too.

[He catches that. It only takes a second for Leo to step closer and take Hunter's hand as he starts walking them out.]

I bet it'll be great. And then you can get some rest. You've got a bunch of projects I can help with, right?

[ Hunter squeezes it tightly. ]

Oh yeah, tons. I - uh -

[ He's thinking through the options. ]

The palismen still need tending. And ... I need to get back to the graveyard I was working on.

[He squeezes Hunter's hand right back, starting to open the door outside with his free ha- oh. Right. Hm.]

Graveyard? For... the other guards?

[ It's fine, Hunter gets the door open for them. ]

Yeah. I ... found the place where Belos had been storing them. I-it's been a long time just trying to sort them.

[That guy was TRULY some evil king shit.]

You sure? It's kinda creepy there... but I'd appreciate the company.

Yeah, I'm sure. You shouldn't have to do that alone and I wanna help.

I've - uh - mostly been doing it alone so far. Darius came once but it was a little much for him.

[He considers that. Darius seems like he's been around for a while. He probably knew... other guards before Hunter. So that's understandable.

He gives Hunter's hand another squeeze as they walk to Dell's place.]

Hm. Well. I'll be there. Thick and thin, always with you, long as you'll have me.

[ Deep breaths. They're both okay. ]

We'll take the train to New York sometime soon too.

...Yeah. We will. And see if my family's there.

But that's - way later.

Yeah. You still need to heal. And - we need a break.

Definitely. So. Let's go have dinner with Dell and rest and then help with the graveyard. Go from there.

... All right. Yeah. The graveyard's really peaceful, at least.

[He could... use some peace about now. He leans to kiss Hunter's cheek as they get to Dell's treehouse, Lucky giving a little marten noise at his neck.]

Yeah, you probably wanna go back to the hutch and wait for someone else to take you, huh? Don't blame you.

[pyrighteous]

[ Oh. Hunter ... smiles at that. ]

I don't think he said that.

[ Hunter looks at Lucky, then back over at Leo. ]

He does want to go back to he hutch for a while to visit with the other palisman. But - it's because he wants to tell them he's leaving.

[neonleon]

Oh.

[He looks at Lucky and smiles.]

A free palisman, I get that. Gotta do your own thing, respect.

[pyrighteous]

[ Hunter laughs at that. ]

He's leaving the hutch, I mean. And moving in with us.

[Leo lets go of Hunter's hand just to open the door but looks from him back to Lucky putting those dots together.]

...You sure? I didn't exactly give you a great first impression of working with me.
