That weird temple wasn't good, but it wasn't the worst. Not by far now that he's back in this dimension. He floats a bit aimlessly, body broken, shell cracked and falling apart, some bones and insides shattered. His head aches in a way that he can't think.

All he can really do is hope Prime doesn't find him immediately right now. The light off his ring catches his eye and he looks at it, not fully registering that it's lit up.

No idea. I didn't name 'em. But maybe we'll find a difference when we get on the train.

Never ridden a bus though. This'll be new.

Didn't have a reason to really.

[Sorry Hunter... But he looks up as the bus pulls to a stop in front of them and the doors swing open. Leo lets go of Hunter's hand to make sure Lucky is tucked into his jacket, and so Hunter can get the tickets.]

It'll be fine right?

We’ll have to do it when we get back.

[ Hunter hands over the tickets and then trails after Leo to find seats. It’s pretty deserted at this hour - just some old lady knitting in the back. ]

If - uh - if you want to go back after this.

[Leo moves with him, following to take a seat next to Hunter. He gives Lucky through his jacket a reassuring pat as the bus lifts a bit from park and starts moving.]

...Of course I wanna go back. [He doesn't ask 'why wouldn't I' like he instinctively thinks it; it's easy to figure out Hunter's thought process.]

Where you go, I go.

[ Hunter settles in then, leaning his head against Leo's shoulder. ]

Same, Leo. And if your family is in New York...

[ Well. He brought enough to at least stay for a while. ]

[Leo watches Hunter best he can at this angle before resting his cheek against his fiance's head.]

Then we'll find an easier way to go back and forth. Connecticut can't be the only place with a door, right?

I - I guess not. I mean. Maybe we could build something?

[neonleon]

We could, especially if Don's there. [He gives Hunter's shoulder a squeeze.] We'll figure it out, but I'm not not going back to Boiling Isles with you.

[pyrighteous]

R-right! I know, I just.

[ He leans a bit more. ]

I just want you to remember that I'm willing.

[neonleon]

...I know. And it means a lot, just.

I wanna make both places work.

[pyrighteous]

... Me too, Leo.

[ Can he just cuddle his fiance all the way to the train station? Of course he can. ]

[neonleon]

[He absolutely can, and Leo is happy to let him. He and Lucky are warm enough to make up for whatever warmth Hunter lacks with his plant body, even as he feels the little palisman vibrating happily against his stomach under his jacket.]

Shouldn't be too far to the train, I think.

[ Thanks Leo. Hunter is indeed a bit chilly, especially given the rain. He smiles a bit feeling Lucky under there. ]

Camila said it'd be about an hour, yeah. And then I guess it's four hours to New York?

Not so bad. [He has no idea.]

Can talk out plans or read or something.

Yeah? ... What are you planning to do first?

[neonleon]

Find Run of the Mill and get you to try the best pizza you've ever had.

That pizza at the temple was good, but not the same.

Nah. You'll understand when you see it, there's just something about having it fresh out of the oven from Hueso.

[It's the attitude Hueso always gives him that makes it better, to him.]

Huh. I think that's weird but...

[ He leans against Leo. ]

I'm excited to see it with you.

[neonleon]

[He smiles at that.]

I am too. Once we know it's the same place and catch up with my fam, I'll take you to see it.

[pyrighteous]

... Yeah. Yeah, family first.

[ Titan, he hopes they're there in the first place. ]

[neonleon]

[So does Leo. But for now, he settles in to the bus seat with Hunter in one arm and watches the rain on the windows.]

What do you want me to show you when we get there?

[pyrighteous]

[ Hunter considers that for a moment. He winds up playing with Leo's fingers a little, especially the ring. ]

Your family. But - all your favorite things. Everything you wished I could see.

[Leo smiles more at feeling that against his ring, watching Hunter's fingers against his own.]

Hmm... I think April had wanted to show us a bunch of places we never got to see. Could probably ask her- oh man, you get to meet April too. she's great.
