It kinda straddles the line a little, but at this point, I'll take it.
[This place is clearly more order your food and get out given the way it is set up. Peter blinks a little at the question.]
Oh, yeah, he's very... intense though. I dunno if I'd be able to keep up with him if we really sat down to talk about something. [Peter does think Donnie is cool, but has more experience with Leo, even if it's not by much.]
[He cannot even pretend to hide the relief hearing that. There are so few teens around here and Peter's the first friend he's made here, he'd ....well, he'd be upset but not acknowledge it if Dee got along better with him.]
Right? I mean like - He's my brother and I'm used to him, but I think being dragged from home without any warning is kinda ramping up his tendencies a little. He'll settle down probably after he gets some science stuff done.
Actually being able to accomplish something like... real feeling would probably help. Right now, I kinda feel, adrift too.
[Peter laughs a little.] He and Mr. Stark would either get along really well, or hate each other. Two super intense geniuses in the same room would be kinda a disaster.
[Peter snorts a little at that.] I like both of them, so, I'd rather they both live. I know Mr. Stark, so I can at least, distract him.
[He tries to not think about their very complicated history. He shakes off any lingering uncertainty there best he can as the woman at the counter calls out
"Order up!"
Peter pushes off of his stool.] Lemme grab it real quick.
[It doesn't take long for Peter to get the box of pizza. He comes by the table, placing the box down for the moment.]
Do we wanna take a look or just head out-? [It is a mystery for now what the pizza is even like. Peter had a single slice on a whim, but a whole pizza is a different beast entirely.]
Uh, right. I think they have a pretty strict curfew anyway. [He adjusts his hold on the box, moving to fall into step with Leo. He waves politely at the clerk behind the counter. She does not even notice their exit. The bell above the door jingles on their way out.]
The streets are quiet as the two step outside together. It still weird Peter out that some place could be so quiet. He misses home in moments like these.]
I'd really rather not locked out. Not like I can climb back in like I used to.
You'd think they'd want us to be at full strength to like... stop all of this. [Peter answers with a scrunch of his nose.] Right now it feels like we're just waiting for something to happen to react to it.
[He's aware they are still pretty new here, but Peter can't help but feel agitated at feeling useless at all of this.]
It feels so- dumb? Everyone here probably can do so much cool stuff, but they just... can't? [Peter has learned plans are a necessity, but it doesn't negate the fact he's still a teenager.] Like right now, we're just hoping to notice weird stuff.
[LEO IS JUST! So annoyed. A combination of playing the waiting game, being taken from home while they're still repairing all the damage, and now he can't portal himself anywhere. May as well cut off one of his arms while ADI's at it.]
[Peter debates with himself a little. How does he even explain half of this? His powers sound weird without a lot of context.] Normally, I can- stick to walls, any flat surfaces. I could also pick up- like buses, cars, super strength essentially.
I got mutated by a spider biting me, so. It changed a lot.
[Just tapping his chin now as they turn the corner. ADI's close by within sight.]
Maybe you got the first one then... Hm. Yeah, in our New York, a warrior alchemist made this mutagen ooze that oozequitos would inject in people and mutate them.
We apparently have the weirdest versions of New York. [He's half tempted to ask a few questions when he hears the very distinct sound of hooves against pavement.
That is definitely a skeletal horse emerging from the alley the two are starting to pass.]
Oh my god- [Peter does not want horse, he takes an awkward step back. He holds the pizza box awkwardly, half afraid of it being knocked out of his grasp. ] We have pizza, Mr. or Ms. Horse can we- just go?
[Sure, its a skeletal horse, but it's staring. It is so staring.]
...Are you two competing via the horse? [He has to ask, actively baffled. The horse is ignoring him. This is his life.
The horse re-focuses its attention on Leo primarily.]
First think of the person who lives in disguise, Who deals in secrets and tells naught but lies, Next tell me whats always the last thing to mend, The middle of middle and end of the end? Which creature would you be unwilling to kiss?

Probably best to leave that alone and not risk it.
no subject
Honestly, he has no idea.] I guess we'll have to play interference if that comes up.

Ugh the whole 'wear a disguise' thing is such a buzzkill, even in some new dimension where he's STILL a freak of nature.]

[UP and on his feet, ready to go. Ready to EAT.] Sooner we're back, the better probably. [UGH if only he could portal.]

[He's clearly been thinking about it a lot with the frustration in his tone. But he walks alongside Peter, hands in his hoodie pocket.]
I'd be able to help a lot faster if I could use my powers.

But that explanation gets him thinking.]
Huh. So spiders instead of oozesquitos...
no subject
As far as I know there was only one spider, I think so anyway. I kinda went into a lab where I wasn't supposed to be.

It's time to play a game.

The sound of hooves.
Normally he'd be annoyed at being stopped.... Buuuuuut-]
Oh, perfect. [He sounds actually pleased by this.]
