It's pretty hard to beat free food. [He jokes quietly back, slowly trying to warm back up.] Even if April probably did it to ensure we'd stay here and talk.

Oh, that is absolutely what she did and that's why I'm making her pay for it.

Admitting it worked to her means she's going to be really pleased with herself later. [April will that specific level of smugness only a sibling can achieve. Peter is learning the ins and outs from this family.

Both are mildly unaware the rest of the Hamato clan are betting on the date now.]

She will be. You'll have to deal with that more than me though, you're her classmate.

[But yeah he has no idea about the ongoing bet happening in the Hamato household as they speak.]

Technically, she's in a grade above mine. So, I'll have to deal with it at lunch, and Ned will freak out. [Peter has no idea how he'll navigate that aspect of things.] MJ was acting a little weird, so, I'll get some reprieve there maybe.

[Peter is also oblivious to that MJ has a crush on him. That will be equally fun to navigate.]

[Eeeuuuugh right, he forgot about MJ.

Leo is suddenly very interested in his glass of water.]

[Peter blinks a little, openly confused.] Take it easy around her-? Uh, why?

[There is a brief moment where Peter contemplates chasing the lead. It doesn't last super long.]

[Just taking another bite of his pizza finally now that all that is settled. But MAN he is just! Thrilled.]

A lot of it is going to be good stuff we're going to figure out. [He is equally thrilled. Also just taking on another slice of pizza.]

What to do for a second date? Does patrolling count as a date? [The Thrilledness will not go away, good luck, Leo.]

[Good because it's not going anywhere from him either.]

So, it means we'll have more patrols to ourselves then. We can hold hands after kicking butt. [The romance is high bar here. Peter is really fond of the idea though, given his expression.] Maybe we can actually hunt down a food truck without it exploding.

Man, wouldn't that be something? Would love that. Maybe we can find one that won't blow up, and isn't run by Meatsweats.

[heyunderoos]

It'd be nice to actually do something food-related without having to go 'is Meatsweats involved?' every time. [Peter muses with a laugh.] There is this one truck near Hells Kitchen, that makes these really good walking tacos.

[neonleon]

Oh yeah? I'll have to grab a hoodie or something so we can hit that up.

[Hueso would probably enjoy Leo going literally anywhere else to eat sometime.]

The truck is usually out pretty late, so, kinda perfect for us. [He is still working on the pizza slice.] They take only cash, so makes buying stuff a little hard if you don't have pockets.

[Now Leo knows why his boyfriend added pockets to his costume.]

[Ooooh those were cash money pockets and not 'future turtle boyfriend puts his hands here' pockets.]

Huh. Yeah, that makes sense. I'll make sure to grab some when you wanna go.

[Turtle hands are also welcome, it will take Peter a bit to realize he can invite hands in.] I'll probably be on patrol and end up sending you a picture of where it ends up so we can maybe plan something.

I have pockets now, so, I can at least carry stuff for you if you want. You have a lot of stuff in your pouch already.
