That weird temple wasn't good, but it wasn't the worst. Not by far now that he's back in this dimension. He floats a bit aimlessly, body broken, shell cracked and falling apart, some bones and insides shattered. His head aches in a way that he can't think.

All he can really do is hope Prime doesn't find him immediately right now. The light off his ring catches his eye and he looks at it, not fully registering that it's lit up.

[He looks at Amity who just kind of gives a noncommittal shrug, then follows Luz to sit d own.]

She invited me, yeah. I- man. I haven't seen anything close to home in a while. [He knows Connecticut isn't home but it's the closest he's been in almost a year.]

How's stuff on that side?

[pyrighteous]

"It's pretty much the same, I guess. I can't wait to finish high school and start attending school full time over here."

[ And she gives Amity a ridiculously sappy look. ]

[neonleon]

[Leo follows that look and oh- cute.

Whispers "Lumity...." to himself before focusing again.]

You're still going to high school on the other side?

[pyrighteous]

"Uh huh. I promised mama that I'd finish up first. Gotta make sure I have options, y'know?"

[ She beams at him. ]

"What about you?"

[neonleon]

Oh. Uhhhhhh- [well he didn't think this through. He rubs at his arm again.]

Never did school back home given [he gestures around his face] this whole situation. So I dunno, didn't think about it.

[pyrighteous]

"Oh right. You'd definitely get some funny looks walking around Connecticut like that. But it's different here."

[ She gestures out at the field where the game is starting up. There's even a turtle demon on the opposing team! ]

"You could totally go to a normal school if you want to.

[neonleon]

[There is! They're even staring at Leo curiously. Leo looks from the field back to the girls.]

Could, yeah. I'll have to think about it.

[pyrighteous]

"Well, what else would you want to do?"

[ Luz kicks out her feet a bit. ]

[neonleon]

No idea.

[It's an easy answer. Not something he ever thought about, not something he's ever had to think about.]

Be happy? Depends on my family back in Manhattan.

[pyrighteous]

"Oh. Yeah. We've gotta get you back to them for sure."

[ Another smile. ]

"I'm sure we'll figure it out."

[neonleon]

We definitely will. Already got a plan in mind once Hunter's ready.

Speaking of.... [He glances, seeing the rest of the team coming out to the field.] Looks like they're about ready.

[pyrighteous]

"Oh yeah! There they go - "

[ Annnd both teams lift up into the air. Hunter's still getting a feel for how well his magic works now - not super great - but is still a hell of a flyer on his broom. He's graceful and speedy and VERY cool. ]

[neonleon]

[Leo focuses on watching. He loves seeing his partner fly, loved it at the Temple. It's great to see. Hunter just looks happier like this. Leo gives a loud cheer for him at the right spots (and not right spots) but is at least very enthusiastic.]

[pyrighteous]

[ Hunter TOTALLY gets distracted by the cheering sometimes (and winds up having to narrowly dodge out of the way.) In the end it's him vs. the turtle demon with one flag left to go. He blinks forward, diving for the flag --

OOF that was a tackle all right. he goes down. no win for the entrails today. But it was close! ]

[Leo visibly shudders seeing the hit. He didn't mean to do that....]

You, uh. You're fine, Hunts!

[pyrighteous]

I-I'm okay!

[ He groans and gives Leo a thumbs-up from the ground. ]

[neonleon]

[Okay he does feel a little bad. But he's glad Hunter's fine (probably?). The game isn't much longer after that with the opposing team winning. Once it's clear everything's over, Leo hops over the railing and jogs over to Hunter to kneel down to him.]

Hey - good game, you did it.

[pyrighteous]

[ Another soft groan as he sits up. ]

Not my best game ... sorry about that.

[neonleon]

First game back, right? Probably just out of practice.

[And Leo definitely was not at any fault here, not at all.]

[pyrighteous]

[ Totally no fault here at all. ]

Yeah ... I'm not used to having my fiancé here cheering for me either. That was pretty great.

[ Hunter laughs a bit. ]

It's just a regular game. We're not even in the slayoffs yet.

[Maybe it's his natural competitive spirit, or maybe the Temple really did do a number on him. But that instinctive panic at the thought of any of them losing a game is strong and setting into his bones.]

I- I guess? Isn't it bad that you lost though?

[Amity and Luz were bringing Gus and Willow by but they aren't close enough to hear yet.]
