That weird temple wasn't good, but it wasn't the worst. Not by far now that he's back in this dimension. He floats a bit aimlessly, body broken, shell cracked and falling apart, some bones and insides shattered. His head aches in a way that he can't think.

All he can really do is hope Prime doesn't find him immediately right now. The light off his ring catches his eye and he looks at it, not fully registering that it's lit up.

So everyone's on watch, and- this won't happen again. To me or anyone else. [Just gently thumbing along Hunter's knuckles watching him.]

... I hope not. We'll make sure of it.

[ That boiling anger is still there, just quieter now. ]

Yeah. We will. So for now-

[He looks down at Lucky, then back at Hunter.]

Let's just chillax for a little bit? Huh?

Y. Yeah. I - I can do that.

... Do you want me to join you two?

[ As a palisman, he means. ]

If you want? I wouldn't say no. Maybe you can tell me some of what he's saying?

Of course. I'm pretty good at palisman, but especially when I AM one.

[ He shifts to bird form and perches on Leo's good shoulder. ]

[Leo smiles at that, tilting his head to lean gently against Hunter.]

Perfect.

[pyrighteous]

[ He nuzzles up against Leo in turn. ]

Being a bird is pretty convenient.

It is, not gonna lie. Harder to kiss you though.

Yeah please don't. That's a little weird.

Yeah? You'd do that?

[Don't mind them Lucky, they're being gay about this. Leo leans a little closer to Hunter with a smile.]

[ Meh. Lucky has heard ALL about this relationship from Hunter already. He yawns and curls up more as Hunter leans in and ... literally pecks Leo's cheek. ]

[Leo lets that happen, laughs a little as it tickles more than anything. And just pets his hand over Lucky's fur again.]

Thanks, Hunts. I uh. Think some rest is probably all I'll need and I'll be good for a while.

[pyrighteous]

Then - rest, please. I'll be here.

[ He cuddles in close. ]

[He settles in to the pillows, making sure Lucky is secure on his stomach and Hunter is secure in the crook of his neck.]

Can't do much else but... Glad you'll be here.

[pyrighteous]

That's okay. We'll get through this, okay?

[ He nuzzles Leo's neck gently. ]

[It's a long night. And a long couple of days there. Leo doesn't sleep much, if at all. Just sometimes laying awake with Lucky and Hunter cuddled up to him, but feeling at the stump and making sure his eyes are dry by the time the both of them wake up. No idea what his family would think if he ever did make it back home now.

He gets the okay to leave after a ew days. Tugs on a shirt Luz brought that was easy to take on and off to leave unbuttoned until he could get used to it.]

[ True to his word, Hunter has spent all his time by Leo's side, minus a few breaks for fresh air courtesy of Darius. He's tired too by the time they get clearance to leave, but he's glad to get back to Dell's place, at least. ]

So ready. Hopefully we don't have to come back here ever again. A-at least not like this.

Yeah. Gonna, uh. Put a vote in for not being hurt enough to be brought back here again.

[ Hunter nods, trying not to wince as he looks at Leo's stump. ]

Dell's all ready for us. He said he prepped a special dinner too.

[He catches that. It only takes a second for Leo to step closer and take Hunter's hand as he starts walking them out.]

I bet it'll be great. And then you can get some rest. You've got a bunch of projects I can help with, right?

[ Hunter squeezes it tightly. ]

Oh yeah, tons. I - uh -

[ He's thinking through the options. ]

The palismen still need tending. And ... I need to get back to the graveyard I was working on.

[He squeezes Hunter's hand right back, starting to open the door outside with his free ha- oh. Right. Hm.]

Graveyard? For... the other guards?

[ It's fine, Hunter gets the door open for them. ]

Yeah. I ... found the place where Belos had been storing them. I-it's been a long time just trying to sort them.
