[Leo smiles. It's tired and a lot lopsided, but it's a warm smile.]

Love weird conversations with you. Don't have 'em enough. Should have 'em more.

I feel like whenever we get married, it's gonna just be a lot of weird conversations, forever. [He says simply enough, moving to just lean against the side of the bed, tired but appreciative all the same.

He sure meant to say 'if' there, but whenever felt just as right.]

Can't wait. Gonna be weird conversations and embarrassing my brothers with bein' us when we're married.

[Just does not even realize what he's saying.]

[Leo just going with it means Peter doesn't realize his slip of the tongue. Its easy confirmation they agree on their future, which is reassuring. Leo can likely feel that shift in their ninpo.]

I feel like we already embarrass them a lot now, I dunno how we'd top it.

[He forces himself out of his lean to sit up again, reminding himself not to drowse there.] Are you hungry or anything? I can grab something for you.

[It's a subtle, unconscious thing feeling Peter's ninpo shift a little. But it feels like it secures itself more comfortably with Leo's, fits itself right alongside the electric blue of his boyfriend's. It feels right.]

Can always come up with new ways to embarrass my bros. [He tries to sound proud but it just comes out tired and slurred.

Food though... His stomach turns uncomfortably and he shakes his head.]

'm good.

We'll brainstorm that more later. When we're both less- tired. [He's polite about their current issue at least.]

Okay, just- tell me if you want anything though.

[He thinks. Or tries to anyway. Everything is moving like molasses in his brain. One thing he knows he wants though, wanted it the whole fight with the Krang, wanted it before any of it happened, since Peter left for his trip.]

Just... want a kiss. [A kiss from his boyfriend. Feeling close, feeling him safe, and a selfish want to feel comforted himself.]

[heyunderoos]

[Peter visibly brightens again, his lips curling into a smile.]

Yeah- a- a kiss is good! [He scoots closer to press a kiss against Leo's lips.]

[neonleon]

[How does Peter feel about seeing his boyfriend, high as balls from pain medicine, just giggling into that kiss. He's so happy to have that, it's ridiculous.]

Suuucks to be them, they don't get this.

[heyunderoos]

[Leo giggling just makes Peter hum a little in amusement. He draws back from the kiss, smiling at Leo. It is the most relaxed he's been in a long time.]

You're the only one whose going to get my kisses, like forever.

[neonleon]

[The giggling trails off and Leo's expression is dead serious, staring at Peter.]

If anyone else tried to kiss you, I'd have to find them.

[The sudden shift startles Peter a little bit. He blinks.] Uh- I can promise you, Leo, no one else wants to kiss me.

[neonleon]

...Good.

[He yawns, settling out of that and back into bleary consciousness.]

They're idiots, dunno what they're missing. No taste at all...

[Peter snorts a little, easing as Leo starts to pass out.] I love you, Leo. Get some rest, okay?

[Peter presses a quick kiss against Leo's brow, smiling at his boyfriend before drawing back. As promised the other teenager will get some sleep. He leaves the next morning back to the surface, still visiting a bit more sporadically.]

[With time comes recovery, for both of them in some regard. Peter feels like he can leave a bit more freely now that Leo can actively move around again.

The conversation they intend to have keeps being put off a while longer.

Unfortunately, that backfires in a spectacular way.]

Uh, Leo!? [Raph's voice carries as the larger turtle emerges from his own room to the living room where Leo is settled in a beanbag chair. His phone clutched in his hand.]

Have you checked your phone yet? Cause we really need to figure out where Peter is. [He holds out his phone showing the headline SPIDER-MAN; MURDERER, with a picture of Peter's high school year photo under it.]

[neonleon]

[It was painful, and it took way too long, but he's glad to be moving on his own again. They even trust him to sit in his beanbag chair alone again. The honor. But as soon as he hears his brother, he squints at whatever Raph is showing him.

Then his eyes go wide.]

WHAT?! [They know he doesn't look at the news news. He frantically starts going through his phone, he'd been texting Peter a fair amount. What the hell?]

That's not true. No way. If you say you believe that, Raph, I'm disowning you.

[heyunderoos]

I know he ain't a murderer, Leo! But- you know, THIS! I'm worried about this and the murder accusation!? Not great! We gotta go get him and May!

[He taps meaningfully at the picture of Peter unmasked on screen. He's trying to not outright break his phone screen by being too rough.

Donnie emerges, looking serious but eying Raph enough to make him stop jabbing at his phone.]

It would be a bit too late for that, there are approximately three live news feeds following Peter through the city.

[Leo's hands go still over his phone hearing that, looking at his brother. Shit. Mikey bounding in as Leo's swapping to his contacts. Whatever's between him and May, doesn't matter right now.]

Leo! Leo, he didn't, right? He wouldn't.

[Those big sad Mikey eyes are so hopeful and worried up at him. Leo's voice is forced steady, a low tremor cracking through every few words.]

No, he didn't. And he wouldn't. [He looks from Mike to Raph.] We're going to find him, and Aunt May, and get them both somewhere safe. [And looks to Don.] And away from all the cameras.

[heyunderoos]

You're gonna stay put. We can handle it. [He fusses at his phone, pulling up the first newsfeed he can find. It is definitely live and Peter is swinging through New York a little desperately.]

Peter is literally headed to his apartment from what I can tell from the trackers. I think he's panicking.

[The group chat for the group would ping after a moment. Something from Peter. The text would only confirm Donnie's assertion.]

Maybe stay underground for a while. Things are kind of not great right now!! The Mysterio thing has kinda blown up really bad right now. Karen is helping me text and swing btw, its fine.

I am not staying put! That's Peter out there!

[And then the text comes in, they all take a second to read it. Who the hell is Karen???]

what mysterio thing ? whats happening where are you going?

Leo, you aren't exactly up for a full speed chase right now!

[Mikey reads the text exchange, blinking as he looks at Leo.] Okay, I guess not all of us went over the Mysterio stuff then?

[Raph groans, covering his face with a hand.] We really need to talk to him about- so much later.

[Another text pops up. A voice to text monstrosity given it captures Peter's panicked rambling than his texting style.]

I meant to talk to you about it. told your brothers when you were still hurt really badly. Literally was going to come back to the lair today to talk about it. I'm sorry. Evil guy, Europe, hates me because of Mr. Stark. I don't know what's really happening!

I don't know? Home? I literally have no idea where to go. People are following me, and I'm kind of freaking out.

[neonleon]

[Leo looks around the room incredulous.]

So everyone knew about this stuff but me?

[Donnie punches a few things on his wrist-computer. Mostly tapping into various camera feeds to keep tracking Peter's visual.] Hey don't look at me, I was keeping track of your recovery.

[He might not forgive them for this. He might actually be mad.]

get somewhere with sewer access. im making raph come get you.

[heyunderoos]

I thought he told you! You've kinda been out of it! [Raph offers a little defensively. Mikey just winces, immediately apologetically.]

Sorry, Leo...

[Peter's next message pops up fairly quickly.]

Okay, gimme like a minute. Sorry. Sorry.

[Peter on the live feed drops out of the sky, landing on the ground unsteadily, trying to loose the helicopters overhead following him.

Sadly for him, pedestrians are hyper aware of him, immediately yelling or starting to crowd him. Peter holds his hands up flat, actively arguing with them as he's trying to slide past them.]

[He'll kill them. He might actually kill his family this time. Maybe double check if he's been talked to about big stuff like, dunno, someone trying to kill and then frame his boyfriend??? And idea.

But he's fed up already with all this, getting unsteadily to his feet, grabbing for one of his swords, and stumbles to Donnie.]

Lemme see. [The soft shell takes in Leo's... whole situation considering... and then holds his comm out to him. Leo studies the video for a second, and waits for Peter to get a little distance between him and the crowd... His stripes light up quick as he swings his sword. The tell-take electric blue fills the air in front of him and in front of Peter on the feed.]

[The portal if anything barely shows up in the live camera feed. Peter recognizes it and goes for it. He doesn't make it completely through before someone in an apartment above pours something down on him.

What it was becomes obvious as Peter slides through the portal and hits the floor with a surprised sound.

He reeks of soup, someone poured soup on him. Peter's suit protective enough he isn't feeling the soup just yet, so he just sits there for a moment trying to gather his wits.]

This is fine.

It really is not!? [Raph drops his phone aside, moving to grab help Peter up.] Someone grab some towels, please?! Did that lady seriously pour chicken noodle soup on you?

On it! [Mikey takes off towards the bathroom on a quest to grab towels.]
