That weird temple wasn't good, but it wasn't the worst. Not by far now that he's back in this dimension. He floats a bit aimlessly, body broken, shell cracked and falling apart, some bones and insides shattered. His head aches in a way that he can't think.

All he can really do is hope Prime doesn't find him immediately right now. The light off his ring catches his eye and he looks at it, not fully registering that it's lit up.

[ Hunter, meanwhile, is getting increasingly worried the more pain Leo seems to be in. He feels bad about showing it - tries not to show it! - and winds up inviting Leo out to flyer derby in hopes the fresh air will help. ]

Of course! It's amazing, honestly - you'll love it. Plus you'll get a chance to meet everyone.

The way you described it sounds really cool. [And he's genuine in that as they walk to the field.]

Always love seeing you fly, but it'll be really cool seeing you flying with everyone else.

[ And there's the crowd of friends ... Willow and Gus are suited up, while Amity and Luz are in the stands dressed in green. Luz immediately starts slapping Amity's shoulder when she sees Leo and Hunter approaching, and the word spreads from there. ]

[He almost leans in close but then catches the motion in his eye. He lowers his voice:] Well. Guess the introductions are about to start.

Yeah, uh. Brace for impact -

[ Luz is flying straight over on Stringbean. ]

"Omigosh, is this the fiancé? As in Hunter's-getting-married fiancé? I'm so excited to meet you!"

[neonleon]

Uh- Yep! Sure is!

[Wow the whole 'getting married' aspect to 'fiance' is starting to hit different now that people are saying it. He waves nervously as Amity lands beside her.]

"Of course it is, look at him. How many turtle demons with red stripes do you know in our circle?"

[pyrighteous]

"Well - none, I guess, but. I don't know, he could always be a clone or something."

[ Hunter sighs a bit and puts a hand on Leo's shoulder. ]

This is Leonardo. Yeah. Uh - Leo? This is Luz and Amity.

[neonleon]

[The hand to his shoulder feels steadier than a moment ago. He relaxes some. But he's still smiling nervously at the girls.]

Got it, Luz and Amity. Nice to meet ya.

[pyrighteous]

"Nice to meet ya too!"

[ Luz eagerly offers a hand to shake while Amity hangs back, almost glaring at Leo. ]

Luz is the human who saved me from Belos.

[Oh okay so Luz is the human, taking the hand and giving it a good shake. But he can't miss Amity.. glaring..............]

Oh, you're def pogchamp then helping him out of that.

[ Luz brightens at the slang despite Hunter and Amity's confusion. ]

"I dunno, Hunter did a lot of the helping himself. And Belos was sus as heck."

[neonleon]

[Oblivious to the confusion.]

Ooooh my godddddd and so cringe about it too. Guy was the worst. He's gone now, we made sure of that.

[pyrighteous]

"Good! Good. Hunter told us a little bit about the - what was it, the Temple? Yikes."

[ Hunter edges towards the field. ]

I ... should probably get my uniform on.

[neonleon]

The temple was big yikes-Oh. Uh. I'll be out here and grab a seat when it starts.

[He looks a little lost but. Not like he can't be social on his own. He rubs at his bad arm with an anxious little smile and looks back at the girls.]

Soooooo Hunter's talked about you some.

[pyrighteous]

"Oh yeah? Did he say good stuff or bad stuff?"

[ Amity scoffs a little at that. ]

"Well of course he didn't say bad stuff. Right?"

[neonleon]

She's right, it was only good stuff. [He grins.] Your mom sounds nice too.

[pyrighteous]

"Mama says you're coming to dinner tonight. She's really excited about that."

[ Luz flops down on one of the bleachers and gestures for Leo to sit. ]

[neonleon]

[He looks at Amity who just kind of gives a noncommittal shrug, then follows Luz to sit d own.]

She invited me, yeah. I- man. I haven't seen anything close to home in a while. [He knows Connecticut isn't home but it's the closest he's been in almost a year.]

How's stuff on that side?

"It's pretty much the same, I guess. I can't wait to finish high school and start attending school full time over here."

[ And she gives Amity a ridiculously sappy look. ]

[neonleon]

[Leo follows that look and oh- cute.

Whispers "Lumity...." to himself before focusing again.]

You're still going to high school on the other side?

[pyrighteous]

"Uh huh. I promised mama that I'd finish up first. Gotta make sure I have options, y'know?"

[ She beams at him. ]

"What about you?"

Oh. Uhhhhhh- [well he didn't think this through. He rubs at his arm again.]

Never did school back home given [he gestures around his face] this whole situation. So I dunno, didn't think about it.

[pyrighteous]

"Oh right. You'd definitely get some funny looks walking around Connecticut like that. But it's different here."

[ She gestures out at the field where the game is starting up. There's even a turtle demon on the opposing team! ]

"You could totally go to a normal school if you want to.

[neonleon]

[There is! They're even staring at Leo curiously. Leo looks from the field back to the girls.]

Could, yeah. I'll have to think about it.

[pyrighteous]

"Well, what else would you want to do?"

[ Luz kicks out her feet a bit. ]
