Its how I got him gunning for me. It's easy enough to figure out my own triggers and they worked quite well on him.

I am, however, fairly secure in our differences. It's pretty obvious whose living a happier life.

Though provoking him means he wants to hurt you to get to me over hurting solely because Hunter likes you, but all things considered, I didn't think you would resent me for the move? And I trust your skill.

Now for the objective I had in mind. [He pulls out a purple crystal with a glyph carved into it.] Hunter is modeled to look like a witch. However, because he is a Grimwalker, he cannot use magic like witches. I assume all his personal magic is used to keep his body together, functioning, and to keep up the facsimile.

However, his core is a magic amplifier, and probably the means to which everything fuses together properly and...I had a thought.

He is a construct. An object. But also a person who can feel love and trust. With a make up that takes in magical parts and makes it part of him.

Gram-Gram was able to grant April the Ninpo, but she's human. Still, it's proof of concept so I wondered if a construct like Hunter could take an object enhanced with Ninpo and make it apart of himself...if that might connect him to the power.

I've been doing trial runs. We were able to use this crystal to mind meld.

I mean, yeah. April was always one of us, we all thought of her like family so that tracks with what she told us.

[He looks at the crystal though, reaching to take it and inspect it himself.]

Could work. Hunter considers us family and same back at him, especially if you were able to mind meld with him.

[He nods, relaxing a bit. He wasn't sure if this was crissinga line.]

I was. And we're seen how the Ninpo works with unwanted passengers before.

The crystal isn't a permanent anchor, but if we could get it on him, we can reach Hunter and help him out. Like you did with Raph, but with direct magical encouragement.

I saw it before, I just didn't realize what is was.

Anyway, there is a deeper level where Guard is and where Hunter is when Guard is in charge. It's deeper than the normal meld, but not as deep as we got into dad that one time. I had at least some physical awareness.

It looks like a creepy forest and the goo was there. Infecting the trees.

Yes. Which is probably the only saving grace.

So you're proposing we family ninpo our way in, help clear the goo and try to anchor him with this crystal?

At least the first two points. The crystal hasn't attached yet, and that probably won't work as a permanent Ninpo anchor. Hunter has access to the same wood that makes him and Flapjack, so we were going to see if that worked as a long-term solution.

Belos will likely be aware. He knew personal information I told Hunter all of once, and I got really close to him in the....sunken place he was hiding in. He is unlikely to let us get close with the crystal.

Or at least let me get close enough with it and he's seen me retrieve it with Flapjack.

I don't think he would account for me telling you about my experiments. I didn't see a need to until now, and if he's an extreme version of me, then...
