[Peter is solidly asleep, in most awkward position possible hunched half over the bed. Only occasionally can Raph or Mikey actually talk him into sleeping somewhere semi decent.

He startles a little at the touch, before blinking awake. His expression brightens immediately as he realizes Leo is awake. His voice is a little scratchy.]

Hey.

[neonleon]

Hey.

[It's a little easier to say this time. Ever stuck looking at Peter's face, wondering what he saw, what they told him. What he knows.]

Y'should be in bed.

[heyunderoos]

I'm good here. [Peter manages to sit up, grounding himself with the feeling of Leo's hand in his own. The comfortable weight of it feels right.

He fumbles to grab onto Leo's hand, desperation and panic sharp in his chest as they fall. He's too far away now to get Leo. He just missed his boyfriend's hand, so all he can do is dive after him. The bleak green tinged darkness swallows them whole as the moon disappears behind thick clouds. He desperately tries to reach for Leo with his ninpo, and just can't.

He meets Leo's eyes just for a second before the turtle hits the ground with a wet crunch that makes Peter's stomach twist itself into knots. Tears burn at his eyes.

Peter barely reacts when he hits the ground, hard enough he can't breath. He landed badly, on something hard he can't even see. He can feel glass cutting in the fabric of the suit, hear the rush of wind blowing around him. His vision is spotty, but his body moves on its own as a green blast of magic comes towards him. He's on his feet, moving but his gaze is locked on the body laying just within reach.

The world tilts on its access again, and Peter can't find him. He can hear Leo laughing, the sound strained and broken. He feels Beck's hands on his throat and hits the ground again.

The memory creeps under his skin and makes Peter's breath shake slightly before he can contain it. He focuses on Leo's hand, just carefully raising it to press it against his cheek.]

I wanna be sure you're okay. With everything that happened.

[neonleon]

[Leonardo's too tired to notice anything subtle, anything serious happening here. The pain medication Donnie somehow got his hands on circulating doesn't make it any easier either. But he feels his hand against Peter's cheek when it feels like two seconds and a lifetime ago it was resting on the bed.

He instinctively pulses his ninpo out to Peter, the electric pulse reaching for him just to see if he's there and this isn't some pain induced dream.]

I'll be fine. Dee's got me, you got me.

[heyunderoos]

[Peter leans into Leo's touch. The familiar rush of their ninpo meeting is enough to make Peter visibly relax. His own ninpo reaches back with no hesitation. ]

I know you'll be okay. Right now, I just wanna stay with you.

[neonleon]

'm not going anywhere.

[That much he's sure of. But with Peter's ninpo responding, his own nerves loosen up some. That's real, he can feel that.]

[heyunderoos]

Me either. [Peter relaxes further as their ninpons meet. The rush of magic and comfort of Leonardo is such a relief. Peter is reluctant to let go of Leo through magic.]

I'll... take a break whenever you go back to sleep. If you want me to. I just don't wanna be that far away.

[neonleon]

Y'should.

[he can't get much from their connection, just that Peter is worn out. Something definitely happened while he was dealing with Krang, and he doesn't want to ask about it just yet.]

Sleep in a real bed or eat or... whatever. [He's too out of it to joke.]

[heyunderoos]

[He snorts a little, actually managing another smile before it wanes.] I'll manage something soon enough.

[He's not sure how to admit he's scared to leave. That if he takes his eyes off of Leo, somehow Leo will be dead or gone. His ninpo curls in on itself, magic sparkling with unrest, exhaustion, and a low level of fear.] I can probably drag a cot in here or something.

[neonleon]

[He squeezes Peter's hand weakly.]

Jus' sleep in my bed. Not going anywhere. [For as out of it as he is, Leo means that. Peter should just use his bed since he's stuck in here.]

[heyunderoos]

[Peter nods a little.] ...Okay. I will. Just- not right now. Later

[He will adhere to that suggestion, but sparsely since he's afraid to leave now.]

[neonleon]

Okay.... Okay. [There's a sense of ease that settles. Peter said he'd sleep in his bed. Which means Peter will sleep at some point. That's the important part here, that Peter will sleep.]

Does May know you're here?

[heyunderoos]

Yeah, she knows. She's not happy since- [He gestures vaguely upwards.] Everything is really screwed up topside. She wants me with her, but, I I wanna be here. I need to be here.

[neonleon]

You-

[Something about that is wrong. It's wrong on a fundamental level, Peter loves his aunt, they're who they have. Why...]

You should see her.

[heyunderoos]

[Peter winces a little at that. Looking openly tired now, any brief sense of relief or a smile are gone now.] I will. I just...

I just need to know you're okay.

[He knows he can check on May easily, be it invasively with the stupid glasses. He hates the things, he doesn't even want them. He would break them if he knew it wouldn't just be repaired by someone else somehow.]

[neonleon]

[He watches Peter quietly, lifting their hands to gently poke at his cheek.]

Got these guys here to look after me. Aunt May's only got you.

[heyunderoos]

....Yeah. [He agrees, managing a thin smile at the cheek poke.]

Before I leave later, can- I ask you something?

[neonleon]

[Leo knows that Peter is all May has, and after what just happened... The idea of choosing to not see family again when they're worried and scared doesn't sit right with him.

But the smile helps some.]

Yeah? Sup?

[heyunderoos]

I was hoping you could hold onto something for me. [He debates with himself on just how to explain it.] During the trip, Nick Fury showed up.

He gave me something Mr. Stark left for me, apparently. [He laughs a little weakly.] Mr. Stark- he decided I needed access to a global defense system. He put access in these- sunglasses.

[He covers his face with his hands.] I feel like I'm going crazy.

[neonleon]

[Leo listens to that. It's kind of going in one ear and out the other right now; and that might be for the best for Peter's sake. He'll remember bits and pieces of this later, but for now? He just nods along weakly.]

Yeah, I- I can look after 'em.

[Which will probably be him hiding them where he hides everything he doesn't want to be found: under Splinter's bed.]

[heyunderoos]

Sorry- I just- [He sighs, immediately feeling guilty since he's not oblivious that Leo isn't completely present.] Thank you.

We're gonna just have a really weird conversation later. Right now, it doesn't matter too much.

[neonleon]

[Leo smiles. It's tired and a lot lopsided, but it's a warm smile.]

Love weird conversations with you. Don't have 'em enough. Should have 'em more.

[heyunderoos]

I feel like whenever we get married, it's gonna just be a lot of weird conversations, forever. [He says simply enough, moving to just lean against the side of the bed, tired but appreciative all the same.

He sure meant to say 'if' there, but whenever felt just as right.]

[neonleon]

[Give him a second, he'll process that....

Can't wait. Gonna be weird conversations and embarrassing my brothers with bein' us when we're married.

[Just does not even realize what he's saying.]

[Leo just going with it means Peter doesn't realize his slip of the tongue. Its easy confirmation they agree on their future, which is reassuring. Leo can likely feel that shift in their ninpo.]

I feel like we already embarrass them a lot now, I dunno how we'd top it.

[He forces himself out of his lean to sit up again, reminding himself not to drowse there.] Are you hungry or anything? I can grab something for you.
