That weird temple wasn't good, but it wasn't the worst. Not by far now that he's back in this dimension. He floats a bit aimlessly, body broken, shell cracked and falling apart, some bones and insides shattered. His head aches in a way that he can't think.

All he can really do is hope Prime doesn't find him immediately right now. The light off his ring catches his eye and he looks at it, not fully registering that it's lit up.

[Gasps. He thought he'd carry everything but!! Even better. He gingerly sets the basket down so he doesn't crush anything and holds his arms out for Hunter.]

[ Mindful of Leo's arm and shell, he puts his arms around Leo and lifts! ... okay this is actually a lot of weight for him but!! Gonna open this door and at least get through!

The room inside is cottagecore to the max. Tons of woodworking tidbits around, with half-finished palismen adorning walls and tables. The whole room is inside of a giant palistrom tree and curve appropriately; winding stares go up to bedrooms while common rooms are down here. ]

[Leo wraps both arms around his neck to make it easier, feeling a little bad for how heavy he is, but. There's only so much he can do for it.

But the inside is lovely - not really his style, but it's definitely Hunter's and that makes it special. It's exactly what he'd picture for Hunter to live in. His eyes are wide when he sees the half-finished palismen, the stairs up.]

Yeah.... home.

[ Hunter gently sets him down. ]

At least - for now. I want my own place eventually but. For now, Dell says you can stay here.

[Leo smiles a little, still keeping arms around Hunter's neck as he gets steady on his feet again.]

Cool. I'll- make sure I don't make a huge mess.

[ Hunter GLADLY lets him. ]

I mean, I hope not. You're in my room so.

Wait, am I?

[He's so confused for a second, but. He still just keeps close, taking everything in.]

Huh. Neat. Definitely won't mess anything up then.

W-well - I mean if you really don't want to we can clear out the craft room but - since we're engaged -

Right, yeah no, uh. Whatever's more comfortable for you. I'm good with whatever.

[He doesn't sound mad about it at least. Just asking so he knows.]

Just - checking so I know what to expect when I meet people. [He ends up just resting his chin on Hunter's shoulder for now. He's out of the infirmary sure, but he's still plenty exhausted.]

...Weeeee should probably get our stuff from outside.

[ Poor Leo. Hunter leans back for a moment. ]

How about I get you settled upstairs? And I'll bring the rest up.

...Is this another courting step? Because I can get the basket...

[pyrighteous]

No, no. You can take the basket. I'll get the rest.

[Yaaaay. He gives Hunter's forehead a kiss before going back to the door to get the basket of Courtship Gifts.]

Sorry if I like - screw this up or get something wrong. Never been courted before.

You really can’t screw up courtship gifts. Unless you reject them and yell or something.

[ Hunter starts heading up the stairs. ]

[Leo watches him before carrying the basket up. Still pretty exhausted but way better than when Hunter found him.]

Exactly.

[ The staircase spirals through the tree before coming up on a landing and a common area. He pushes through a bedroom door, revealing a cozy bedroom with curved walls that reflect the shape of the tree it's been built into. Most of the space is taken up by a large bed and shelves full of Hunter's stuff, but there's still enough space for a turtle to settle in here. Lots of human books, partially finished palistrom carvings - and a balcony out onto a wide tree branch that has quite the sunny spot available. There's a lil kiddie pool sitting out there too - someone enjoys a good bit of photosynthesis every now and then. ]

[It's cute. And so undeniably Hunter, Leo can't help but smile at that. It reminds him tangentially of Hunter's room by the end of their time at the temple, but better in a way. Because here? Hunter has virtually no limits.

Leo takes it all in before looking at Hunter again, setting the basket down on the floor by the bed.]

It's- it's so you.

Yeah?

[ Hunter goes a lil pink. ]

I - uh - I hope you like it. I know it's a little crowded for both of us but...

I mean, not like I have anything to fill it up with. [He pats the basket next to him.] Just what you've given me.

It'll be great. We'll find a spot for these.

[pyrighteous]

We'll definitely find a spot for those! I need to move some of this downstairs anyway...

[ He moves to gather up some of the half-finished palismen and crafting supplies. ]

[Normally he'd just say whatever and let someone else do the clean up, but it's Hunter. He wants to help. Leo's up and on his feet again ready to help pick things up.]
